Kurumi still has her umbrella slide Basically you look up while holding your skill after grappling high and it sends you flying forwards because of the umbrella hold. So long as you don't connect it to someone or use it looking down, the umbrella doesn't go on cooldown either so you can use that to catch up or go far etc and still have your skill when needed.
Nvm my last comment, I deleted it 😭 But, did you also speak about how Kurumi's umbrella is able to shield any ranged atrack and Tianhai's grabs? The umbrella should be considered as a defensive mechanic if in situations like this, as it can help Kurumi and her allies survive even more
