    You did a great job with this review and reminded us of some important things. If it wasn't for the DIY'ers thinking outside the box these companies that over charge wouldn't know where to begin. I'm glad I saw for myself the best of sim racing comes from the community and that caused me to buy a 3d printer and begin my own DIY build. I'll have something better than the mainstream equipment for a fraction of the price and I'll be proud that I built it myself. I was impressed by this shifter when I saw it an would have been interested to build it but I kept searching and found something I like more. I think I may even see you review it soon! You do a good thing by shedding light on these guys. Active shifters will separate the men from the boys and reveal some real lap times.

    I was on the waitinglist for this shifter also, but I dropped out and left my Fanatec shifter still on the rig. Mainly because I never use the shifter 😂 But of I did, I would definitely buy this! 😎
    I was also going to buy a throttle and brake of the Simucube Active Pedal. But no matter how much I thought about it, I never could justify the price, you know 🤔 I know that pedal is an experience from another world 😎 But still, I just do not think it is worth that much cash. I don't mean this in any way bad, RBM, as there are always those people searching for the ultimate in realism... But it's funny how you could argue that all this high end gear COULD? actually end up making you slower overall, simply from the point of view that you have to be sooooooo precise (just like in a real race car) just to get your virtual vehicle to move fast(er). Awesome Hardware Overview

Either you can preload it and press the clutch to engage, or in the other mode pressing the clutch is not enough, but you have to let go of the stick and re-engage. Whichever suits your taste. Or the third option is, let the game decide, however the developers intended it to work.

    About the e-cluch, does this model go further in immersion than the shifter "NSH SimGear" (based on the "SRT by Lebois" project)? Shifting without clutch, using the right engine speed, like in a real car, is so realistic, I'm fascinated.

    • @SleepySleepy500
      @SleepySleepy500 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s so misunderstood to think like that. R&D has been mentioned. This shifter has been in the works for 5 years. Also, it’s a very niche product, which always means it has a high price due to not many units produced. I.e. a low economy of scale.
      A new iPhone today costs what? 1000$? What do you think it would cost if the entire R&D cost plus cost of manufacturing was divided by say 500 purchases? It would probably be in the millions per phone.

      How you figure the 100?
      Cutting individually each part on machine soldered bay hand and years for endless development of hardware and software !
      I would love to see you produce something like this even just having all those parts for free and putting them together will cost you time worth more then 100 🤣
