Alice does a nationwide radio show 5 nights a week ..He's been completely sober for a long time now.. Tells some great rock stories on his show ..He's a great guy ..avid golfer..lives in Phoenix..
i listened to nights on Cape cod was only on Saturday nights but for some reason they took it off now it's House of hair Dee Snider.i think i might be wrong but i think he has been sober close to 40 years it's amazing he is still alive.
Vincent Furnier, aka Alice Cooper, is 75 years old and gmhas been called the king of shock due to his elaborate stage shows. Been around over 50 years and still tours to this day. One of my favorite songs is "Schools Out", which I played every day leaving high school sophomore to senior year in the seventies.
Before KISS, before Ziggy Stardust, before all of the rest of them Alice started it all ('schlock rock ') and always, ALWAYS the showman. Thanks guys ❤❤❤
This song is the introduction song to a whole creepy story. It's part of a concept album. The music video to the album (!) - not only this particular song - shows it very clear. I've been at an Alice Cooper concert in 2013. He was fantastic. He still played Alice/Steven so well. And his wife as the creepy "Nurse Rosetta" was also great.
Alice Cooper was my first concert in 86 . I've been a huge fan my whole life ! He puts on a Hell of a great show ! He knows how to give great value for the cost of a ticket . He was doing shows like this Way before " cos " play. Alice is one of those Artists that you either love him or not . I LOVE HIM !
❤ Alice Cooper saw them with Motley Crew it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen ,and I have been to a lot of concerts. Thank you for reacting to them.
I went to see Alice many years ago. When the show ended we went through a wrong door and ended up at the after party. It was fantastic, free booze and I woke up in a cell. True story.
Vince (Alice) is really a nice guy. He recently did a show in our town with Rob Zombie, and on Saturday night he was at a local restaurant with his wife, and on Sunday morning attended services at a local church. I met him briefly sometime in the 80’s, but that’s another story. ✌🏼😎🇺🇸
Phenom is absolutely right ... this probably wasn't the best intro to Alice Cooper. I saw him back in 1973 and he came out on stage with his pet Boa around his neck. He definitely is a performance artist, but his audios are much better, and he has a great catalog. You might check out "I'm Eighteen". Thanks for a great reaction. ✌💙✌ I'm Eighteen - th-cam.com/video/VqkJ_ZacYiU/w-d-xo.html
I saw Alice Cooper this past September in Phoenix AZ and it was my first time too. Amazing set by him! It was with Rob Zombie, Ministry, and Filter ( Freaks on Parade 2023 Tour) whole show was lit!🤘🏽
I remember seeing the TV special for this back when I was a liitle dude. It featured Vincent Price as well and it was kind of trippy for a 5 yr old lol
I remember him having a TV special on Halloween called welcome to my Nightmare it had Vincent Price in it love me some Coop! All his shows were like a rock musicals I loved his shows and saw him many times
Alice Copper you saved my life do to my job and personal life i had to hear that song from the movie frozen [let it go ] several times a day for 2 years. To keep from losing my mind I started to pretend it was sung by Alice Cooper. Now I'd like to hear a cover by Alice Cooper. If your out there Alice Copper please cover that song from Frozen❤
He used to be good friends with Groucho Marx, of all people and he was close with Meat Loaf and gave a very sad and heartfelt video on his passing. He was in a sanitarium for a while.
A man who knows how to put on a good show. There are definitely better songs and videos. Even the studio version of this song is better than just a snippet from the show. It lacks because it is meant to be part of the flow of the complete show not just a song taken out of context. Alice is a man with a great span of works who had Granny Fanny Nestleroad (otherwise known as mainstream adults) declaring him to be Satans right hand,(he is a solid christian) in the late sixties to being the guest host on the Muppet Show in 78. He’s in his mid seventies now and still going strong thanks to a fairly good life. The only thing he had a problem with was alcohol and he put that behind him. If you listen to his radio show he will talk about all the singers he has seen come and go and what a sad waste it can be to see them go early. A song of his that is probably his most commonly heard on the airwaves is the song “Schools Out”.
Alice used to live in the same neighbourhood as Groucho Marx. Groucho went to one of Alice's shows and said it was just Vaudeville. He was right. It's musical theater. This is a newer video. Check out some classic Alice. Try something from another album. I would have recommended Is It My Body, or Under My Wheels or Elected, No More Mr. Nice Guy. That's Alice. Is It My Body is much more fun and it gets more to the reason we love Alice. He's more than Halloween.
Hi guys first thing you only listened to half the song and saw half the video before overwriting the Godfather of Shock Rock. If it wasnt for him and a few other bands. There would be no Rock and Roll or the many off shoots of R and R. Also next time you watch a video. Do some research first. Alice has designed his songs and shows to shock you. To give you the creeps and leave you with a queasy feeling. Also after performing for almost 60 years. Sober for 40 of those years. Married to his first and only wife for 47 years. Is still roking strong and putting out hit albums.
This like a lot of albums of the time was a concept album you have to listen to the whole album the same as Yes, Pink Floyd, Genisis and ELP war of the worlds, tubular bells it was not about the single it was about the whole album. you have to listen too the whole album.
I get it that this wasn't the best introduction to Alice Cooper. I recommend Under My Wheels for the next reaction. Of course School's Out is going to be highly recommended. I'm partial to the Love It To Death and Killer albums myself so anything off of those albums I recommend. I finally got to see Alice at Wembley Stadium, or Arena I can never remember which one the concert was at, in 1990 when I was 31 and it was a fantastic show.
This was not the song for a first reaction. I have been a fan of Alice since his first album in the early 70s. I suggest you give him another listen he really has some great music. I think you should listen to Poison next I think you will change your opinions. Alice is known for his shock rock persona. Trust me give it another go. By the way he legally had his name changed to Alice Cooper.
No way I could hate you fellas because of your opinions. I'll take honesty over BS any day of the week. I would suggest the song Eighteen as an intro to this artist. But since you were going for a Halloween vibe I can understand the choice. The Welcome to My Nightmare album is a unique recording. It's a concept album and is really well done. I like it a lot but it's an album I only listen to occasionally. I've never been a person who was into theatrics at a rock concert, but I understand it's appeal to other folks. If y'all want to continue with the Halloween theme here's a couple of tunes that might work. I mentioned them in another of your videos. The song Marie Laveau by Bobby Bare and the song Swamp Witch by Jim Stafford.
Check out halo of flies, or only women bleed. School’s out, no more Mr nice guy are great tunes as well. And he alone is known as Alice Cooper. But yes the band is Alice Cooper. His real name is Vincent Furnier.
You have missed a trick here with that song, obviously selected by the name. His show is still now amazing with far better songs. Starting with Schools Out from 1973, right through to his latest album. Oh and by the way re Ozzy and the bats, best check out Alice's back catalogue for such antics. Remember you chose the song !
Remember this was the 70’s so he was considered a serious freak back then. Him and Ozzie. People weren’t doing this kind of stuff. You should try billion dollar babies or killer or under my wheels. 🇨🇦🖖🏻
This is not one of his best songs. Should have gone with some live stuff from the 70s. Alice STILL puts on an incredible show. This was his first album without the iconic "Alice Cooper Band". He had 6 or 7 albums in a row in the 70s that were great. Love It To Death, Killer, School's Out, Billion Dollar Babies and Welcome To My Nightmare are must-have's in any hard rock collection.
couldve been better video for your first time.saw him live on halloween n he did his crazy stage show.also seen him no stage show n he rocks alot better live in his sober years
This one really ISN'T a great intro. Great song, but not a great intro. Been listening to Alice my whole life. Songs to look into would be "Only Women Bleed," which is a song that speaks out against domestic violence; "Desperado;" "Long Way to Go;" "I Never Cry;" "Be My Lover;" and "Might as Well Be On Mars." One thing about this song is it REALLY doesn't show off his voice much. And his stage shows are pretty legendary for being atual shows. They've evolved and adapted over time, but yeah, looking at one from way back then, DEFINITELY looks silly. But that video looks early 80s, maybe early 90s, so I'd expect that for sure.
Unfortunately, you picked the worst performance I've ever seen of this song. His band in this period was pretty generic and overplayed thereby stripping the soul of the song. Guessing you won't give him another chance, but he (both solo and with the original band) has a very diverse catalog. If you do, check out "Billion Dollar Babies."

Show is off the air since the syndicate got sold.

Seen him in concert several times. The man is still kicking ass in his 70s

Schools out is one of his best
Was at the concert when this album was released, one of the best concerts both musically & visually.

NOOO your guys reaction really saddens me 😢
An odd choice to introduce yourselves into,Alice Cooper , his breakout hit School’s out would’ve been a better entry point
True story.

My favorite song by Alice is “You and Me”. It’s beautiful.
I saw Alice Cooper this past September in Phoenix AZ and it was my first time too. Amazing set by him! It was with Rob Zombie, Ministry, and Filter ( Freaks on Parade 2023 Tour) whole show was lit!🤘🏽

"No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Poison" might be more to your tastes. They're two of my favorites.
An Alice show is a guaranteed blast. Nobody performs like him ! xx
I remember him having a TV special on Halloween called welcome to my Nightmare it had Vincent Price in it love me some Coop! All his shows were like a rock musicals I loved his shows and saw him many times
Yeah, I'm a 60s person and I love Alice Cooper. Fun fact, his father was a pastor.
Alice Copper you saved my life do to my job and personal life i had to hear that song from the movie frozen [let it go ] several times a day for 2 years. A friend of mine goes to church with Alice in Phoenix. He does a lot of community work.

I went to see Alice in the late 70s. He is the Godfather of Shock Rock. One show he had a Guillotine behead him, and it looked so real.
This album featured Vincent Price in 1975, 8 years before Thriller. An Alice show is a theatrical event.
Alice and Halloween forever connected in my head. Unfortunately like Axle Rose they both must get a lot of love from in the studio.
Go watch the Hollywood Vampire's with Alice Cooper on vocals with Johnny Depp on guitar Brothers ... 😎
This was released in 1975 and was a big deal. Alice Cooper pre-dates KISS, Mötley Crüe, Marylin Manson, Slipnot, etc.

Not sure if y’all have done 18 or schools out by Alice cooper…but they were both anthems in my childhood!
I get it that this wasn't the best introduction to Alice Cooper. I recommend Under My Wheels for the next reaction. Of course School's Out is going to be highly recommended. Thank you for your honesty the video didn't really kick in my opinion but I like Alice.
And he's a pretty good golfer too:)
No way I could hate you fellas because of your opinions. I'll take honesty over BS any day of the week.

HIs show was based on the album, and it was a whole theatrical production. Not just one song.
You got to Check out IAN DURY AND THE BLOCKHEADS song HIT ME WITH YOUR RHYTHM STICKS & WHAT A WASTE
I think Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick would be the best introduction to Ian Dury & The Blockheads
Check out halo of flies, or only women bleed. School’s out, no more Mr nice guy are great tunes as well. And he alone is known as Alice Cooper. But yes the band is Alice Cooper. His real name is Vincent Furnier.

Alice Cooper was a witch from way back. N obv rolled wit name
The album version would have been a better choice
Hes got rocking and ballads for intro...id pick something else
I know Iggy Pop is somewhere on this spooky musical list.
Please listen to “I’m 18”. You’ll change you mind about their music. ❤
Remember this was the 70’s so he was considered a serious freak back then. Him and Ozzie. People weren’t doing this kind of stuff. You should try billion dollar babies or killer or under my wheels. 🇨🇦🖖🏻
Studio version is better 🤙
This is not one of his best songs. Should have gone with some live stuff from the 70s. Alice STILL puts on an incredible show. This was his first album without the iconic "Alice Cooper Band". He had 6 or 7 albums in a row in the 70s that were great. Love It To Death, Killer, School's Out, Billion Dollar Babies and Welcome To My Nightmare are must-have's in any hard rock collection.
I always thought rolling stone was a joke.
Check out some of his earlier work. This wasn't the best to start with. He was an original Shock Rocker.
Fuck Alice In Chains, this is Alice cooper
A couple of songs in my wanna hear school's out for summer schools Out forever
You should have reacted to the original album version
Said b4 my first intro to song was Muppet Show
The nurse in the video is his wife.
couldve been better video for your first time.saw him live on halloween n he did his crazy stage show.also seen him no stage show n he rocks alot better live in his sober years
What a lazy, naive response to this layered, briliiant work
Got to do 18 or schools out to really get it
This one really ISN'T a great intro. Great song, but not a great intro. Been listening to Alice my whole life. Footage look as if from 90s. No way was from 70s
The album version of the song is better, horn section in the middle and overall tone is less "metal" ond more rock.
not one of his better songs!
Unfortunately, you picked the worst performance I've ever seen of this song. His band in this period was pretty generic and overplayed thereby stripping the soul of the song. Guessing you won't give him another chance, but he (both solo and with the original band) has a very diverse catalog. If you do, check out "Billion Dollar Babies."
the ham fisted drumming and overly distorted guitar loses the subtle dynamics of the original recording
