That chirp on pto start is wear and tear. Theres a mark on the throttle roughly at 3/4 for pto engagement/disengagement. Try that instead of full throttle.
Excellent Review! Long overdue. Glad you are overall happy with the surfer pro. I agree and can relate to all the cons you mentioned. Still an awesome little mower. The BadBoy mower you were referring to is the Revolt SD.
We bought one this season. I am horribly unimpressed. Nothing is built well. Switches routinely fall out, starting permissive broke out of the box, fuel filter never worked. new one put in by dealer is also faulty. bales needed to be realigned out of the box. I will never by this brand again.
The transmission’s are Hydro-Gear ZT1800’s. A bigger con than the slow speed, that the dealer probably doesn’t even know/care about, is that the GVW (gross vehicle weight) those transmissions can handle is 670 lbs. Since the mower weighs @ 470 lbs already, the rider shouldn’t be more than 200 lbs.
Great video Tony , I have the 34 , my only con is I wish the platform u stand on was lower to the ground and a bit less pitch . Other then that is saving me time and making me $$
