Hi gr8 video cud I put this on my ceiling upside down..wud that still work I Ave a long throw projector but not 1080 p..same name as your projector..thanks for n e advice you give cheers
Thanks for the feedback. Ceiling mounting this upside down isn’t something I’ve tried, but I know Optoma do a universal ceiling mount, so look into that and hopefully that will answer your question.
How much difference is there projecting directly onto the wall compared to the screen? The reason I ask is, I bought this projector new from an online supplier for an art project where we used it projecting onto the gallery walls. I have to say, it’s the worst projector I own. The image is so dim that it’s impossible to see unless the room is completely dark. It looks nothing like yours. Perhaps I was unlucky and received a faulty unit or perhaps a screen is essential for getting a picture. I own a couple other Optoma projectors (DH1017 & EH500) and they completely outperform the GT1080E.
Optoma are shite….. I’ve got one with 96 lamp hours in perfect condition that doesn’t work. I’ve also got a 20 year old Acer with 900 lamp hours that works perfect. I turned that on today after it sitting around for 11 years… Never buy Optoma again.

I've got plenty of 3D movies! I have this Projector, and I'm very happy with it
I’m glad you like it so much. It’s a great projector.

Not yet tried it on the wall. I did find the room was best very dark though.

Not had any issues with mine (yet). The image is very good too.
