My family is just DEVESTATED, in MOURNING, still in SHOCK over the loss of Zach. Always loved the times when we all got together. He was TRULY a super young man who had his whole life ahead of him.. I LOVE YOU Todd, Susan, Sarah & Elizabeth... ❤❤❤❤❤❤

IM sorry for your loss, that wasn't a fun death. I just really hope that if there is a god or higher being, that they give mercy on buddy because I imagine drowning like that, unable to break free, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemies.

Having owned beachfront property in Alaska with relatively shallow mud flats, we learned to carefully watch our children when at play because our son became stuck one fine day and it was a chore to pull him out of his Extratuf boots. Multiply the suction at Turnagain Arm by 100 and it is near impossible to retrieve a person. Condolences to the family.

I’m wondering how this happens?!? It’s so sad that they couldn’t do more for him :(
I live in Alaska…trust me when I say that water is so cold that even with a respirator he would have died of hypothermia
