Oh great!! My Saturday morning fix of Joseph, Mariana and beautiful central Portugal! I've been a Police Officer for 23 years in the United States and I am looking forward to retirement in two years. I think a cherry farm with animals near Fundao is the perfect antidote to forget the things I've seen on the job. Thank you for these great videos for they offer a brief respite from the negativity of the world. And oh my goodness Chloe is so adorable! Cheers! Dale
I don't know your current plans situation but I have some suggestions for you. Take some vacation time to the area you are thinking of moving to. See if you like it, the people, the facilities or lack of. Make some contacts and view some properties. Get a feel for what's involved. Joseph is very helpful. Also start your European Portuguese language classes. It's a tricky one for native English speakers and you can practice on your vacations. It will pay huge dividends with the local authorities and your neighbours. Gives you greater independence. Good luck
I’m hear ya Dale.I’m a miner in Canada and retiring next year. Worked for 6 months in Aljustrel 15 years ago. Starting to look for a small farm to buy there. Looking forward to exploring the Fudao region this fall and planting some new roots. Cheers.
An old guy in my village was passing my house and chatted to me. He patted the house and said "bom constructiao" I was going to plaster the walls inside my house but I have come to appreciate the craftsmanship and the pure love that must have gone into its construction. So I will point the walls and leave them alone. People who viewed my house before me said they would like to demolish it and re build it. I would not dream of it. We should treasure the heritage of old Portuguese property. You have to love Portugal. Look after that daughter of yours and keep her away from the lunacy that is now the UK. The UK is a nuthouse I can't wait to get back to Portugal.
Looks like you need to grow a flower garden for Chloe so that she can pick and put into the house. She seems to have a natural affinity for flowers. She is very cute. Thank you for your constant supply of videos. I really love it. I desperately want to come and live in Portugal but current circumstances just don't allow for it. 🥴🙄🥴
Bless you Barbara! Thank you! Yes hehe, she needs a little flower garden - might need to fence it from her though or after only a couple of days she will have picked them all bare 🤣
What a lovely place…I follow another Chanel in the Algarve and that’s a cork farm…I remember him saying they come every 10yrs …Chloe is getting so big and I love her bunches Marianna…
Joseph, I love your videos and I love these properties. I will be looking to purchase one similar to this in the next fews years, I look forward to being your neighbor in the near future. That would be very nice indeed 😊. Thank you for making these, they are a joy to watch.
Beautiful video Joe such lovely views, so lovely to see our beautiful little Chloe bless her , I love French lavender it's so pretty looks like Chloe loves it too ,take care xx❤😊
Omgosh Mariana wear more dresses! ❤😊 Loving the vibe! Back on topic... I digress haha. Beautiful land though Joseph. Obsessing over that enourmous Cork tree 😊😊
I add properties like this to a playlist - which I watch when I dream of pulling the pin and moving to Portugal - and it would be great if you could add a link to the properties on the estate agent's own website - so that the current status can be checked (i.e. is it still for sale). If you want to drive traffic to your own site, which I completely understand, a link to the actual property on your site would be more useful in the video description (rather than the current URL to the root of the site). You could then add the estate agent's URL to the listing on your site (and a back-link to your video) - so everybody is kept happy 🙂 Just an idea. Thanks for the videos. I'll go back to dreaming...
would you please know where to stay for little money. ? thank you very much. I always feel I would buy one of the fincas you show us. Matter is I have to pay for every single thing I would need to do. That would be expensive for me. My best regards to you lovely and good family. Lola.
I would like to know if you could give some information on how to spent a couple of months in Portugal in order to know Serra do Alcor. I live in Spain. Not a tourist but a solo woman in search of a fresh and balnearic region in Portugal.
What a beautiful property, once again! I always enjoy your videos a lot. But may I make a suggestion? Why not put a link in the description that directs people straight away to the page of the property on your website? I always have trouble finding it on your site and then not sure if it maybe is sold already haha. I guess this beautiful cork farm is sold already too? Regards!
Thank you for the suggestion, they are all marked as sold or for sale on the website, this one is still marked as for sale as it was only first advertised a week ago 😊
Hi Joseph and marina how are you hope you doing well, I'm hoping to come to come to portugal at the end of July, to buy a farm, can you recommend any cheep rental in your area thank you...
Don't tell anybody and just cut it down. 😀 The neighbors won't notice one tree missing. Also (i like trees very much) you could plant some extra cork oaks, plenty of room on the land.
Whats planning law with these locations you show us. Looking for land to build property on. Is it possible? are there ways of doing so? or is it very strict?
Very easy to do so, just depends on which exact land you are looking at when it comes to specifics. This one for example can have over 300sqm usable area of house.

@@Farmerforfun Argghhh. Wish I had seen this before my visit. Tried to reach out a couple of times. Would have loved to have seen this property now that I have a better idea what I am looking for. Maybe next time :)

Hi Laurie! Yes that’s correct, the drier the area the longer the cork takes to grow 😊 💕

Hi Joseph , I am Lola. follower since many videos ago.
Lovely farm with fantastic views.
Thank you so much Mona! Much love 💕
Great video beautiful Cork farm, we need to grow some lavender for chloe 🌸
Thanks mum! Yeah haha, we do need to! 💕
Beautiful property, but if you can't remove cork oaks, what about the ones growing in the ruin? Could you remove those to rebuild the ruin?
There are exceptions to trees that cause problems, the house was there longer than the tree, it can be removed
Would be a great view from the ruin, love the uploads!
Thank you so much!! much love 💕

Beautiful land.

Can the cork trees near the ruin be cut down to extend the house? What’s the M2 allowed?
Thanks 👍 again 😊
Thank you my dear friend 💕

Hi Antonio!
just heard of a beautiful fully equipped rental property in orca this week - email me for details, farmerforfun@outlook.com
Hello, my dears.
I have a legal question.
Can you build several small houses on a plot with a ruin? Maybe container houses.
And to live with two or three families there?
Miss your cooking
Can the ruin be removed and a new house built ???
When was the cork last harvested?
That field looks like something Van Gogh would have painted.
Love this!!!!
What chances do you have at getting a habitacional license and planning permiti on ?
It’s not a question of chance, it already has a habitable ruin on paper, just needs construction first 😊
Does the land have water?
As you can't cut down the cork trees, the tree that's growing into the ruin do they allow those to be cut down or do you have to build round it?
There are exceptions to trees that cause problems, the house was there longer than the tree, it can be removed
Don't tell anybody and just cut it down. 😀 The neighbors won't notice one tree missing.
Also (i like trees very much) you could plant some extra cork oaks, plenty of room on the land.

@@Farmerforfun Brilliant. Thanks for the reply
Still available?
Hi there. How hard is it for Americans to move there?
not hard as long as you fulfill the visa requirements
Exactly as above, check visa options - easy enough to move here, lots of Americans do so 😊
I bet its dry in the summer and I'm sure that "swimming" stream also bone dry in the summer. You should probably mention this.
But it isn’t dry, because it flows all year round, that’s why I didn’t mention it 😊
@@Farmerforfun it has water in August? 😮
Yes! Believe it or not, not every water source runs dry here, I have a tiny stream that feeds my poultry pasture and it runs all year round…
Crazy, even the village springs have dried up there.
That's a corker 😅
Hehe thank you Edwin!! 🤣 💕
Your pronounciations perticularly for the location of the property are not clear. Pl say learly location very ery clealy on give in writing
My pronunciations are not clear? I think that’s what you said anyway as I could not read half of your message as it makes no sense…
❤❤😂😂😂🎉😢😢😢😮😅😅😊
It’s beautiful but …’of course it needs a rebuild’ made me LOL …it’s a WALL !!
Haha!! Yeah maybe not the best choice of phrase! 🤣
@@Farmerforfun 🌷🙌🌷 it’s beautiful there!
farm with no Olive trees worthless.
Only if you want an olive farm…
