    A new discussion series, Notes from the Reading Life, is taking place throughout June at NYPL branches in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. Presented in partnership by the National Book Foundation and The New York Public Library, Notes from the Reading Life brings well-known and well-read New Yorkers to libraries to discuss the books that inspire and excite them. Each event puts speakers in conversation with an acclaimed writer to talk about the meaningful books that have shaped them.

    My new hero! I love Thelma ! I've been watching interviews by and of her for many days. And it's crazy because like her, Sula is my favorite Book by Toni Morrison because to me she definitely displayed her mastery of English language in it. And English is not even my first language (it's French). Thank you for this !
