Thank you again for your help. I would like to let your followers that using English will not help you unless you practice in small steps. Practice by yourself and don't think that you mastered English after making 1 shot after missing 15 -30 shots. Perfect practice makes practice. Small steps.
Watching this on St. Patrick’s Day…. so the shot should look like this… 😎 Cheers, B! 🤟 Great tutorial. I love watching these before going out to practice.
A great term that I picked up from snooker is running and check side (English). It gives me a great mental visual on how the cue ball will run off the cushion.
: ) LOL --- Oh Boy! Things to appreciate... Folks, listen to what this man has to say! Watch! and PAY ATTENTION!!! The graphics on the screen (cue ball with red dot), relate it to what he calls out (type of spin/english) and watch the reaction of the cue ball. Do that --- then you do it on yer favorite table. You'll not get it or learn it, if you don't do it yourself. Practice! Practice only benefits you... and if ya don't, it benefits whoever you are playing. Thanks Bryan! Be Safe
@FXBilliards I was going to say the same thing. I've had this exact shot and thought to myself, wow, that actually helped. So now I use it all the time on those long shots. Sorry to hijack.
Hello Brian. My name is Buddy. I’ve been playing pool for about a year now. The guys I play with he been playing for quite a while. I’ve been watching TH-cam videos and I found FX billiards to be the best for me. I was actually able to win five games in a row against one of those opponents. I really appreciate your and they’ve helped my game quite a bit. I was wondering where I could purchase the elevated ball rack you were using in one of your videos basics of spin. It looks like it would help me get a tight rack more easily. Thank you for helping me elevate my game. I really do appreciate it.
Love your videos, intermediate player that is just starting to get english into his game, top and follow are well understood, but i am struggling with aiming shots with english, either overcutting or undercutting, is there a good video floating around that shows how to aim when shooting with english?
I hope to put something together soon. I’ve seen some pretty bad advice floating around like “aim to miss on this side or aim to miss on that side” - that’s not the way we play shots with spin.
nice video lately i been struggling , other night i practice have 2 rack of 7 ball run but bad lead for 8 ball hope i can do good in playoff this Wed. night will probably help my team mates
You mentioned the cue and shaft you are using. What kind of tip are you using? I currently use a Kamui SS, but thinking about changing to something else. I am pretty good at draw, left english, and right english. My issue is running english. I seem to miss the ball and make the cue ball in the pocket where the object ball was supposed to go. Have been doing that for years and haven't figured out why… Any ideas? Thanks.
I use victory, soft, and Kamui soft. If I understand your question correctly, I think the solution is shooting hundreds of the shots and paying close attention to the effects on the cable mini players gauge there success or failure by too small number.
Hey there, brian. i really hope you can read this because I'd need your help... i was talking pool with a friend of mine this weekend and he said that it be awesome if someone was able to pot moving balls, and mentionned i saw someone do it... but i don't remember what video i saw you do it in... can you help me find it at all so i can show him you doing it?
Hey Brain i have a question, I've been playing pool for along time majority on bar boxes, i have been playing more on 9 foot diamonds preparing for a local tournament that's on 9 foot tables, what would you suggest working on when transitioning to a 9 foot with tighter pockets vs a bar box? Been watching you for awhile and I've included your drills into my practice regimen, thanks for all the videos and the help as always.
I watch tons of top players matches and they all seem to be aiming so low on the cueball? You are showing lots with top spin. I try to emulate what I see so I am always spinning the cueball with draw. Wish you would have shown like the path with the low back spin compared to the top running and inside. I make mistakes on the decision of what to put on the cueball way to often. Always watch and learn from you and appreciate your videos!
You see players, aiming low on the CB, but not to move forward around the table on a multi rail shot. The better you get the more likely you are to be playing below center of the Cueball - but for multi rail shots you need to be above center unless you are drawing into that rail. .
it's made more difficult because the amount of throw depends on how much spin you put on the ball and the speed of the shot. just gotta systematically experiment with it, I reckon
With that tip you have killed my match money enemies please teach me draw shot step bY step that's only shot am struggling if I draw I miss I only know follow shot repost the video for me

I have trouble knowing where the ball is gonna go using reverse English . I’m saving this video and practicing these shots . Thanks for the tips!

Great video. Than you!!!
You are welcome!
Glad to know running English is the most important . Because that’s what I use the most. 😂 but it also makes you more prone to scratching .

I do it in a few videos but here is one recent video. th-cam.com/video/qebblvvKKxE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=tTCmQbcwCO4J8B6S

The best advice I can give you is to put in as much time on 9 foot tables as you can- all the time.

I've also heard 'reverse' English called 'check' english
I'm having a really, really hard time adjusting my aim for side spin. I just can't figure out how much to change in either direction. 😢
it's made more difficult because the amount of throw depends on how much spin you put on the ball and the speed of the shot.
just gotta systematically experiment with it, I reckon
Watching your vedioes, my draw shot has improved. I let the cue ball fly in the past and hitting people like playing golf ⛳ 😂
I’m grateful that you watched my video. And I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. Have a great weekend.
First comment! Yes! Great video.
