In ancient times, the Sheikah tribe served the goddess Hylia. Their loyalty continued through the generations, eventually using their advanced wisdom and technology to aid the princesses born from Hylia's bloodline, and her royal family.
Aided by warrior possessing a hero's soul, a princess used her innate power to defeat a great evil and bring peace to Hyrule. That is, until this evil returned. But so would another princess and warrior with the proper blood, power, and soul criteria. And the cycle of pushing back Ganon repeated throughout the ages.
Eventually, diverse races lived together in harmony and Hyrule thrived from the Sheikah technology prominent throughout the land. The Sheikah became confident their technology could help the princess and warrior in the next battle against Ganon by creating guardians and the Divine Beasts.
Ganon was defeated, but the King and his people felt threatened by these powerful machines. The Sheikah were then banished and their technology lost to history. Some chose to live as normal citizens though others vowed to take their revenge.
Centuries passed until evil would return again. Now with no memory, Link, awakens in the Shrine of Resurrection from a 100 year slumber to a Hyrule in ruins at the hands of Ganon.

They defeated ganon with machines 10000 years ago, then when they tried to use them again a 100 years ago, after years of excavations, Ganon turned the machines on them and he won. Not really close to what's on the video.
It seems the only part that they messed up was talking about the return of a princess and her appointed knight in accordance to the prophecy. Otherwise, it's mainly the usage of the cast seen in the game proper clashing with 10,000 year old backstory that makes it look off-putting.
Actually it's really close, Zagardal. He just didn't mention the part when Ganon took advantage before they mobolized the ancient guardians.
So they skipped a whole generation. That's not thaaat close in my book, at least given how simple the sotry in BotW was.
GUYS THIS LORE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT HAPPENED DIRECTLY BEFORE LINK WENT TO SLEEP, a cycle before BoTW they had used the divine beasts and guardians to drive back Ganon, they just rediscovered them in BoTW, it's always been this way LORE covers what happened before the game not during the game
This isn't what happened before the game though, the technology was successfully used to defeat Ganon once long ago, and then 100 years ago Ganon returned and took over the machines and divine beasts and was only stopped temporarily by Zelda.
The stuff that they included about the franchise was wrong though, plus the stuff that happened before link woke up is still before the game.
So basically they just skipped the events of the Calamity 100 years ago. That's not being wrong so much as it is an omission.

No, the Sheikah were never banished, their technology was simply lost to time. the reason Hyrule is in ruins is because Gannon (did i spell that right?) attacked earlier than everyone thought he would.
actually it's in ruins because Ganon posessed the beasts instead of reincarnating and used them to kill the champions

That was my thought, and I'm not that into it. I know the gist of it and played a bit. I came to just get a good laugh, but not even funny and just wrong.

So the whole video is incorrect? Did you even play the game? Because everything stated here is told by Impa and Kass when he's not giving shrine songs.
The only thing you could blame them for is using the visuals of the cast from 100 years prior and the present to depict the events that took place 10,000 years ago, as well as skipping the Calamity event itself and skipping to Link waking up. (Although to be fair, this _is_ one minute lore. There's only so much they could put in.)
This video is very inaccurate.
1. They present the events from 10,000 years before the game as the first in the timeline, then followed by the other 3D games in the order they were released. However, those events were the most recent, and the game they showed last (not counting BotW) actually occurred first.
2. This video says that Ganon was the original evil, but Ganon first appeared in OOT, nowhere near the start of the timeline.
I could go on.

10k years before they used the machines to defeat ganon, then they were lost. 100 years before the game the realm unearthed these machines and planned to use them on Ganon, but he corrupted the technology and used it on them instead. It's in the plot dump Impa gives you, this video got a lot of things wrong.
Ganon is a Reincarnation of Demise
How the hell do you lose 4 giant stone mechas just like that? I know it was never stated how they wound up buried, but it seems like a safe bet it was done so intentionally. And at this point in the timeline in-universe, nobody knows about Demise or Ganondorf.
There's huge chunks missing, a wrong order of events and general misconception... Whoever wrote this script did a poor job. I can't put that nicely. Please re-do the whole video.

1. Skyward Sword is the first game in the timeline
2.Ganon is a Reincarnation of Demise
3. Zelda is a Reincarnation of Hylia
4. Breath of the Wild is after Twilight Princess (not for certain)

Is point 4. due to what Zelda said? Because by that reasoning BotW also takes place after Wind Waker (German) and Link to the Past.

BOTW, the only zelda game where you fight rogue AI after awakening in a Cryo lab inside a fallout shelter, wander around a post-apocalyptic countryside, and get cartographic data on your PDA from satellite towers stored in a liquid medium.

wait, i thought they tried to defeat ganon with help of the gaurdians but that ganon took them over which killed the king and made them lose the war, in a last effort link was brought to the shrine of resurrection whilst zelda kept ganon captive in hyrule for 100 years
They used guardians and divine beasts 10,000 years beforehand to secure victory. 100 years ago they dug up the machines to do the same thing again which is where Ganon turned the tables.

When did the people of Hyrule decide to start making weapons out of cardboard?
Okay so awhile back they uploaded a video to this channel talking about a pantheon that was pushed out of their country (I think by a new monotheistic religion) and fled to a neighboring country where they kidnapped the native deities already there and took there place. I think it was a dlc to another game I think was called dragon something. And yes, I am going to keep posting this until I find out. I suspect they deleted the video though.

I don't know if this is spoiler, I don't think so, but if you haven't beaten the game you may not want to read it.
As Impa says at the beginning of the game, the sheika technology helped the hero and the princess 10.000 years ago, nobody feared their technology, it just lost in time. Then 100 before the game, they found the sheika technology and started restoring it because Ganon was about to strike again. When Ganon awakened, he took over the sheika weapons and won. Finally, 100 years after the defeat, Link awakens.
You just had to pay attention to a 2-3 minutes cutscene that can be reviewed by talking to Impa again or to that musician bird man which name I can't remember. How could you get this wrong?
I know I'm gonna sound like one of those nerdy fans but that's not exactly what happened, you got the first part right though. Gannon wasn't defeated, he was victorious in killing all the Champions and almost killing Link when he took control of the divine beast and the guardians. But while Link was put into the shrine of resurrection Zelda is basically holding him off in a never ending stale match to keep Gannon from breaking free and destroying hyrule.
They're talking about the events from 10,000 years ago in the game, not the Calamity event 100 years ago.
PandaXclone2 At the begging they're talking about the one that happened 10k years ago, near the end they start talking about the one that happened 100 years ago and when Link woke up.
No, they just jump to the present and skip the 100 years ago, except when they briefly explain the situation Link finds himself in which is the resulting aftermath of said 100 years.
PandaXclone2 This was a bit hard to follow for me. I get it now though, I don't remember the game mentioning how the ancient technology was lost or the Shieka people being feared.
The guard outside of Impa's house explains it when you query him about the Yiga Clan. He explains that the Sheikah technology was thought of by the people as god-like, but grew terrified over time of what the Sheikah were capable of. They were exiled to Kakariko Village and decided to cast away their technology to live a more peaceful life.
The imagery at the bottom banner of Impa's tapestry (that picture hanging behind her) also shows this event, with the king directing his soldiers to run the Sheikah out.

Yes Ganon was defeated and the sheikah banished. THEN Ganon comes back hundreds of years later and possesses the guardians/beasts. Pay attention to context yeah?

When I first saw those lore in a minute videos, I thought it was a really great concept and it really is but whats the point of it if none of you can bother to research the lore before doing the video? It feels like none of you even played the game, Wikipedia is more accurate then this and its far from the first video where you do so many obvious mistakes. Whats the point of one minute lore if theres always at least 30 seconds of it thats wrong?

No its very wrong. They mix up the events that happened 10,000 years ago (the creation of the divine beasts and Guardians by the Shiekah) with the events 100 years before BotW (Hylians rediscover the Divine Beasts and attempt to get them ready to face Ganon but he arrives earlier than expected, posseses the machines and kills the Champions)
Its more of an issue with the artwork and phrasing really. It fails to mention the era 100 years ago with Link and the Champions but uses them as examples in the artwork depicting the events 10,000 years ago (which we never saw)

This is lore, you clicked on a lore video, in most games (especially ones with amnesia) you should know not to watch these videos if you hate spoilers
Triforce represents Power, Wisdom and Courage. Three beings were born to represent this. Ganon, Zelda and Link. But Power corrupts Ganon turning him evil and the other two must kill him. But as he is but one part of the Triforce, he must be reborn to wreck havoc again. Repeat for each game. That's Zelda in a nutshell, kinda grimdark actually.
Ganon, Link and Zelda are not born to represent the 3 virtues. They are constantly reborn because of a curse created by the Demon King Demise. An incarnation of Demise's hatred will be born, whose soul desire is to obtain the Triforce and rule the world. And every time an incarnation of Demise threatens Hyrule, a new Zelda and Link are born to defend the kingdom and defeat Ganon.
Did you guys even play Breath of the Wild?

uh.....noooo....thats not how it went. the guardians and divine beasts were built centuries before the pre-story events of BOTW and were used to destroy gannon, before being lost, and were refound and excavated under the kings orders to be used against gannon like they had been in ages past. it all went wrong though, when gannon TOOK THEM OVER and used them to destroy everything. at least try to get some of your facts straight before trying to make a lore vid, usually you guys are on the ball but this slip up is just embarassing
They actually aren't wrong narrative-wise; they are telling the 10,000 year-old backstory as told in the game and skipped the information of the Calamity 100 years ago to tell you Link's current standing by the start of the game.
Really, you could only fault them for using the cast we see in-game to tell this backstory and neglecting to put the events of 100 years ago, but since this is one minute lore the latter point probably had to be cut out to fit.

This is pretty much what was explained in the game to have happened 10,000 years ago (which is what this video is aiming to show). So why is everyone saying it's wrong? Sure, their use of the Champions, and the Link, Zelda, and King that show up I BotW does make it a bit unclear as to which lore is being shown (10,000 vs 100 years before events in game). But if we go with 10,000 years before, then this is all a pretty accurate retelling of what happened.

That may be, but the hatred that ultimately creates Ganondorf exists in Demise at that point. In one form or another, he's always been there even if he wasn't personified.

The Sheikah were never banished or feared, Impa, Purah, and Robbie all worked directly for the king as researchers before the calamity. The Sheikah technology was just lost over time because it was put in a stasis like state to be used the next time Ganon showed up and then was corrupted by him. Did you guys just not play the game before making this lore video which by the way is long overdue?
