This trip from Sabang - Merauke is also my big dream too, but i need soooooo much things to prepare for it: what kind of bike i will use, how to survive, money, etc, especially i have to leave my family. Some advice when you driving on Sumatra, try to reach your destination before sunset because some sections of the road is definetly not safe enough for solo riding at night, so departing early from sunrise is strongly advised. And also tried to be very very very careful when you enter the mountain passes in Sumatra such as Kelok Sembilan in West Sumatra or the mountain pass from Medan to Brastagi in North Sumatra when you want to go to Lake Toba because both places are considered as the most extreme and the most merciless mountain pass on the island for tons of reasons. Should put alert & careful riding is put your eyes on potholes, poor asphalt & petrol stations (on certain parts of Indonesia are far distanced in between). You'll find very nice people of Indonesia. They'll help at once, without too much questions, in situation. All rider clubs along the way will do favors to you & making friend, whether you're asking it or not. Some advice when you driving on Sumatra, try to reach your destination before sunset because some sections of the road is definetly not safe enough for solo riding at night, so departing early from sunrise is strongly advised. And also tried to be very very very careful when you enter the mountain passes in Sumatra such as Kelok Sembilan in West Sumatra or the mountain pass from Medan to Brastagi in North Sumatra when you want to go to Lake Toba because both places are considered as the most extreme and the most merciless mountain pass on the island for tons of reasons. Congratulations Bruh...You got too much fun syndrome. It's a pleasure cruising along the way on Indonesia. My bike is Ducati. No need to worry about days & nights' ride. Should put alert & careful riding is put your eyes on potholes, poor asphalt & petrol stations (on certain parts of Indonesia are far distanced in between). You'll find very nice people of Indonesia. They'll help at once, without too much questions, in situation. All rider clubs along the way will do favors to you & making friend, whether you're asking it or not.
