If you have parents like Ray's you will appreciate what a ground breaking show his was, and this one in particular. Someone with BPD (or NPD) will wreck your special day. Every day. Well done Ray - you're a hero.
I don’t know why, but when he says, on my wedding I got to kiss the most beautiful girl in the world is the line that defines their marriage. Keep in mind Raymond never had the intention of cheating and I look up to him. I mean I moved to Australia recently, and have a hard time not being able to make friends and having to stay by myself. Everybody loves Raymond kept me company and this little scene made me miss my family. Oh well it is what it is. I’ll keep the good ones ray :)

This show has some of the funniest lines that make me laugh myself to tears. But it could also be so true to life. You can’t really choose every single one of all your families idiosyncrasies. If you’re smart, you just keep the good ones. The WRITERS should have gotten some awards for this one. Thank you for giving the actors the heartfelt words that we hold so dear. It can be easy to forget that there are people behind the scenes that don’t get the same fame as the actors, the directors, the producers, or even the novelists. But the show would not be half as good without them.
While watching this episode i was continuously thinking how could they come out of something like that. But Ray’s speech was mind blowing. And i can relate with it. “Just the good ones”
I thought a few times, when Peter said he was a Christian. He did some things a Christian wouldn't do. One thing. When he was supposed to pick up the Reverend, for Robert's wedding. I think he deliberately didn't pick him up. And when Marie said the buffet wasn't any good. Then Pat came up, and she said "what a wonderful spread". When Pat said the thing about narcissism, the way Marie's mouth dropped open.

These characters were so natural in their parts just like a real family. Amazing chemistry.
