I like the fact that they're bringing some of the vintage design back in. I love that case and box sapphire crystal. And the dial is beautiful, I'll have to check them out Pete!

I ordered the blue dial with this layout last night after watching your review for second time. You’ve got the best shots of this watch by far, great job. This will be my 4th Borealis, have 2 Adragas and a Cascais v2, they are superb watches for the money. Was smitten with the Sintra when they first announced it, but worried it was maybe too big at 41.5mm. I have same wrist size as you, and seeing you wear it sold me! Love how flat it wears, and crystal looks amazing, along with the case. Can’t wait till it’s delivered, the wait begins…

The wearing experience has been ideal for this size

The red dial variation of this one really caught my eye. I'm trying to resist as I'm saving for a 41mm 300m seamaster.

Hello Peter. I'm so happy that you reviewed this watch. I love Omega and I love Borealis....thus I really like this piece. As a matter of fact I ordered the blue dial version. This will be my 3rd Borealis as I already own the Adraga and Portus Cale Diver. I think Borealis makes awesome watches and a good value proposition. As for Omega, I own a Seamaster Professional Chronograph, and this past Sunday my wife gifted me a new Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch 3861 movement with hesalite crystal. I'm just over the moon happy 😊 🌙 🙏👏
Thank you again my friend for your review and thoughts. Cheers 👍

Have been paying attention to the Borealis line this past year… PK.. spot on with this piece being a hat tilt to the Omega, however it is its own watch; not a copy or a knock off, not even a homage. Great releases this year!

I have an Orient quartz with a similar case design and it absolutely reminds one of Omega. Such a classic watchcase design! You're right, it just wears so comfortably. A win for Borealis no doubt. Thanks for the video.

Great review as always. I am picking up the finished product tomorrow, pre-owned, mint, for 375$ usd. That's 10% of the cost of an Omega and other than the movement the Sintra competes in every way. I can wear this as a sports watch and wear it out for dinner and not have any misgivings. No worries of damage or functionality. The dial is fantastic and appears to be very well done. The quality of Borealis is impressive.

Ordered one with green dial. Will be my second Borealis. Own Adraga with brown dial. In my opinion Borealis is one of the best microbands. They don't cheap out on movements, materials or finishing and offer great watches at great prices.

Being of Portuguese descent, I picked up 2 Borealis (Boreali?) for each of my kids. The Neptuno and the Cascais.
I love the Cascais so much, I sometimes borrow it from my son often. They are tanks, incredibly tough.

Great review. I’m a long time Borealis fan. Quality and customer service they provide are excellent. Love my 39 mm Adraga I picked up from them. Really liked this version of the Sintra but hoped for a 38 - 39 size. I thought the relatively flat lugs on this 41.5 would wear large on wrist, even with female end links.

"Keep it quiet mate! Every time he changes side i crumble around..."
Wish Borealis could live without "imitating" big brands, had done that but guess it didn't work/sell out that fast, thus back on the same track they roll. Nothing bad here and the quality/design elements are obvious but... There is a but, oh, and an elephant....

Thanks Peter, so often I have come close to adding a Borealis to my collection and each time there has also been some negative detail to kill the deal. While I appreciate Omega it's not a destination I naturally gravitate towards. This, on the other hand, is instantly highly attractive. Going purely on the measurements, I think it would have been even nicer if a smidgen smaller (and proportionally thinner) still. The vintage inspiration would certainly also warrant that. Are the end links the only change expected for the production version?
