I think this is the consequence of diving into the rabbit hole called the Ultimate Lesson too quickly. Maybe when the ACTUAL Ultimate Lesson happens, it wouldn’t lose this much portion of his memories like his name, merely only the parts about him being the ninja erased…I guess.

I'm never going to get over just how many ways Randy mispronounced Howard's first and last name while overly mind wiped. Specifically the dramatic "Howel Wuterdeesh" and the last one of just "Wuterpapa"
A personal headcanon I have about the Ultimate Lesson:
It doesn’t actually mind wipe the person, but instead makes it more difficult remember said memories. With enough visual/verbal cues of said memories, one will be able to remember their memories.
It’s what happened to Randy after all.
My theory is it puts a certain que in there head so if they need to remember the nomicon can just use the que
If that's true, that it would have to make a copy of the memories to incorporate into the Nomicon.

the guy was 800+ years old, and literally running on ninja magic for the most part. Plus, he was a "holy warrior" after all. So it'd make sense that he could enter the nomicon freely and that the nomicon would be a safe space for him. Can he ever exit the nomicon? probably not, for his own protection of course, but if he could, well, I think that'd be pretty bruce.

I like to think that in the actual proper ending for "Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja" Randy got to retain his memories during his time as the Ninja. Instead of transferring his knowledge into the Nomicon, Nomicon would allow Randy to keep his memory in order to properly mentor the next Ninja.
Even if that wasn't the case, I believe Howard would remind Randy & kept some evidence to prove to Randy he was.
It would’ve been interesting if Randy went along with Howard and put on the mask to fight anyway. Would be an new take on the episode.

Having an amnesia is no laughing matter. It's especially bad when the person in question can't even remember his/hers own name & the people he/she cares about. Poor Randy, but in all honesty it was his own fault for erasing his own memories & being very impatient.

I rrally thought Howard's version of the suit would look different since the Ninja of 80s and First Ninja's suit have their variations a bit more unique to them.
He is Randy' friend, so seeing the ninja outfit similar to how Randy has his makes sense
@@firepuppies4086 Also, he's mostly filling in for Randy, so the Ninja Nomicon probably didn't have enough time to get a new suit prepared.
Maybe it changes after a cycle is complete.
My guess is that Howard imagined himself to look like how randy does as the ninja, which explains why Howard's version of the suit looks rather similar to how Randy does. My guess is that he did so to cover in as the ninja because Randy currently can't wear it.
Is it wrong I find him even more adorable like this? He’s like a little five-year old in a grown teen body.
And this whole episode really empathized on why Howard SHOULDN'T be the ninja.. Good thing

It's actually kinda insane that he lost all of his memories of his best friend. They've been friends literally since they were 3, if not younger. That's over a decade of broship that just got mind-wiped! If this story ever continued into Randy Cunningham: 12th Grade Ninja, I kinda got the feeling that the finale would be pretty angst-ridden, since Howard would probably think that the same thing will happen again, and his friend will completely forget him. Who knows what he might do?
Howard:… And that’s how your mother (Theresa) & father (Randy) met!
Son: Uncle Howard, how can my dad be the ninja? Wouldn’t he be 800+ years old?

I always found it interesting that eventually, Randy WILL lose his memories as the ninja but Howard would still remember them. I wonder how the show would end knowing that would happen.

that does make me wonder, if and when randy does give up being the ninja and gets his mind wiped (for reals once his time as ninja is over), would howard just like tell him perhaps that he was the ninja? or perhaps keep it from him if he's aware that the ninja has to forget (which i think he is? i forget-)? dont think hed want randy to end up like antfee so, always wondered abt that. good video as always gravyfries
i feel that the nomicon will also mind wipe people who are closely involved with the ninja tbh, so Howard prolly wont get exempted. since knowing the ninja for too long can still have undesirable consequences on the allies themselves. cough cough McFist.

2:20 Despite Howard was a terrible Ninja during the fights, I love the fact that he kept seriously the most important parts of the job, like the secret identity.
My only "but" with the episode is that, despite Howard is finally wearing the mask, the plot quickly puts him in the BG to focus on Randy regaining his memories. Yeah, he's the protagonist, but both Randy becoming him again and Howard trying to be the hero of the story turned out to have poor and accelerated developments (even more because Howard didn't really learn anything new, beyond he's a lazy).
