      Hi i am a new registered wise user, and i am expecting some money being transferred to me from a foreign company. Do I need to deposit certain amount of money into my wise account for its activation? Can i not deposit any amount of money into wise for my wise account to be activated?

      Hey there! Sending business payments to/from personal accounts isn't supported with our services. If you need to make business payments, you'll need to open a business account. More here: wi.se/open-business

    • @Wise

      Hey, Joyce. When did you set up the transfer? If it was sent over the weekend, it may be taking a bit longer for the money to come through, as we can only move your money during normal banking hours. So, the best thing to do is wait a few business days for this transaction to be completed. We explain more here 👉 wi.se/howlongdotransferstake

    For a larger transfer amount ( 20 000$ ) does it make a difference if you transfer the money directly into you bank account or is better ( cheaper ) to your WISE account , then from there to your bank account ?

    • @Wise
      @Wise  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there. We'd recommend you to send the money directly to your bank account as it's a one-step process and likely to be cheaper, compared to the two-step process of adding your money to your Wise account and then transferring to your bank account.

      Sending money to friends and family as a gift shouldn't be an issue - however, depending on the amount you send, we might need to verify your source of income. Read more about this topic here: wi.se/sourceofwealthdocs

    • @Wise
      @Wise  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With Wise, you can hold money in 40+ currencies, and convert between them at the real exchange rate whenever you need. It’s free to sign up, and there are no monthly fees. Depending on your region, you can also get banking details to receive money in more than 9 currencies. We have a really good overview on how the Wise account works here: wi.se/borderlessfaq.
      If you're asking about transferring money to your external bank account, it depends on what currencies are involved: wi.se/currencieswesupport. If you have more questions, feel free to drop us a DM on alternative social platforms or give us a call/email: wi.se/contactus. We're here to help.

    This is fine if you are sending to a country having USD or EUR as the national currency. But if the local currency is something else, the recipient bank will often have a long list of fees for processing the incoming funds and also an unfavourable exchange rate when converting into the local currency.

    • @Wise
      @Wise  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Brian. We’re always looking for ways to make our transfer fees as low as possible. The calculator will always show you all the fees we'll charge you, check more info here: wi.se/sendmoneyfees If you set up a transfer (one currency to another) from your external bank account to Wise and from Wise to an external account - the conversion happens within Wise, meaning there shouldn't be any conversion fees from your bank. We do not have control on any other fees the receiving bank applies.
      In case you want us to have a closer look into any specific transfer, feel free to get in touch with us via PM. Due to the platform specifics, you can't send a DM on TH-cam, but you can reach out to us via Instagram, Facebook, or X and let us know your membership number. You can also call/email us here: wi.se/contactus

      Likewise, we aren't able to support the local DZD (Algerian Dinar) currency just yet, but you can always leave a request for it here: wi.se/wishlist and still pay via SWIFT using USD, EUR or GBP currencies in the meantime.

    Is there a way to get notified when the invoice has been paid? I'm currently receiving payments in my USD account from a US client but I don't get notified when they make a payment in my USD account.

    I haven't used Wise in a while, so pardon me if this question was already asked/answered. I'm attempting a domestic (US to US) ACH transfer. I have all the recipient's bank details. When I go to "add a recipient," it asks for "Recipient Address" under the banking section. Does this mean the address attached to the bank account (recipient's bank address), or the recipient's business address? I am only confused because it's on the bank info page. Thanks!

      Hey there. It seems like you're trying to set up a bank using our platform, and that you're being asked to submit a certain code, is that correct.
      If so, then please note that you'd be able to find our relevant banking details on our page here: wi.se/wise-bank-details - keep in mind that we also show all the necessary banking details during the final step of the set-up of a bank transfer on our platform.
      And perhaps what you're referring to here is the membership number, which we ask you to put in the reference of the payment when paying in from your bank account. To locate this number, please use the info and steps provided on our other page here: wi.se/membershipno

      Hello, Sandrine. If you're using Wise to send money, then yes, you'll need to open an account with us. But, you could send money to a person that has a Wise account, without you having to register.
      For example, if you're sending money to "John" (to their Wise account) they just need to share their bank details with you, and you can send money from an external bank. Hope that clarifies, but if you have any questions, contact us: wi.se/contactus_
      We'll be happy to help.

      Hey, Icay 👋 Our services are available in the Philippines. Although we currently don't support sending money from PHP, but you can still send USD, EUR, or GBP from your bank account there to us via SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments_ All you need to do is to follow our transfer steps: wi.se/howtosendmoney_
      Recently, we had to close the balance account feature for new onboarding customers in the Philippines due to higher demand, but if your sender has an account with us, you can still receive money directly to your bank. Just provide your local bank account details or your e-wallet. Rest assured that we're constantly working hard to open this feature again. We'll be sure to let our customers know once there's any solid update about this.

    • @Wise

      We don't have payment portal or gateway integration support just yet, but you can still receive payments with your Wise account. You can either share your virtual bank account details with your senders, and they can arrange transfers from their bank account to your Wise account, or you can generate payment requests and then share those as invoices with your senders. More on this here: wi.se/request-money.
      And while you can't authorize someone else's debit or credit card to charge a payment, you can use your own Wise debit card to receive payments from 3rd parties. We have more on how that works here: wi.se/receiving-to-card 🔍

    Does the transfer from a euro bank account in turkey to wise charge any fees? The thing i am using wise to transfer to my bank account in germany.

    • @Wise
      @Wise  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, there. When you're sending money from your EUR bank account in Turkey, you'll need to pay in via SWIFT since you're sending from a country outside SEPA. Your bank will most likely charge a fee, and correspondent banks might charge handling fees. It's best to check with your bank for the sending fees. Learn more here: wi.se/swiftpayments
      On our end, there'll be no receiving fees. You can learn more about the receiving fees via: wi.se/fees-receive-money-wise. For your transfer to your EUR account in Germany, you can learn more here: wi.se/sendfees

    Hello from Japan. please allow me to ask you questions. Im moving to Canada in 2 months. Here is my status:I've just created a wise account in Japan and received a debit card, already activated. Questions: i will make a bank acount in Canada after moving to Canada so that i cannot register my Canadian bank info yet.But i need to transfer a certain amount from Japan to Canada. So my question is that whether or not I can put and keep the money in my own debit card account of wise,?then send the money from my debit card account to Canadian bank acount later on? im afraid that debit card is only for withdrawing at ATMs or using at stores as debit card? i wanna make sure where i can pool the money on wise account to transfer the money to my Canadian acount later on.... Thank uou in advance for your help.

    Hello. I have a question. I have a US Wise account and I need to send money to my landlord in Spain. I converted my USD to Euros. If I send the Euro rent from my Wise account to my landlord’s Spanish bank account, does my landlord have to pay a fee to receive the money? Please help!

    • @Wise
      @Wise  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! If you're holding EUR in your Wise balance, you can make a direct EUR to EUR transfer from your Wise account to your landlord in Spain. In this case, you'll see all the fees upfront, and your recipient shouldn't pay a fee for receiving money in this case.
      Your recipient might only be charged a fee for receiving money if you're sending money via SWIFT. More about it here: wi.se/swiftpayments
