Its really nice seeing all you guys still together doing your thing. I had some of my best memories with all you guys and the whole Arcade Legacy community. ❤❤❤
I’m quite unfamiliar to FGC tournaments so why were there 2 separated monitors instead of only 1 for both players? Were 2 arcade boards provided at the event? Also how could players plug their hitboxes/controller (a modern controller) to a quite old game like VSav? T4R
so they each get their own CRT since these games weren't made with high res displays in mind so there is lag when played on a modern display and they don't have to worry about either person blocking the other. How they play these games at large tournaments is usually with arcade hardware and something called a supergun which basically just lets you plug in modern controllers through usb straight to the arcade board.
Looks like for this tournament they were playing on a Mister Fpga. You can see the menu for it at 9:37. For those who may not know, the Mister Fpga is a hardware emulation project that supports many different machines. The CPS2 implementation on Mister I've heard is really close to the original CPS2 arcade board. I play VSAV on my Mister and it feels great. Better response time than on MAME or Final Burn Neo. Modern vintage gamer did a video on the Mister if anyone else is interested in learning more about the Mister Fpga project.
Always fun to see high level VSav!
Word ! Especially MiniMaww & MightyMarr!
Glad to see this classic getting some love at a major tournament!
The Anakaris matches were hype af

God I love VSav
What’s the opening song?
That Finals intro was lit lol 1:10:19
Im new to fighting games, and this game looks sick! Are ppl still playing this online? I know it was part of a capcom fighting collection.
@1e0isfdkorblpg oh nice! How about on console?
Join the discord bit.ly/vsavdiscordna and get all the resources you need. Most of the playerbase plays on fightcade.
I haven't seen qbee or fish in a while has the meta shifted or just a lack of character representation?
There are bees and fish at every major tournament in NA!
Zombie is just broken lol
Anyone know what port of VSav they are using?
Arcade board.
it is an actual arcade board that was found and purchased by the community. there's a video on this channel about how they acquired it
@@iggyeo6458 Thank you. Is that superior to the home console ports? Or would the capcom fighting collection port be comparable in quality?
They’re using the MiSTer CPS2 FPGA core developed by Jotego. You can see them in the MiSTer menu before they start.
mightymar quedó segundo con el peor personaje del juego
