Honestly i just love how creepy it is and how the 2 ladies shared the crimson smile and left the secret at the grave, especially the piano parts, love the whole video!
I love the homage to christine at the end, where the car repairs its own damage and the final shot of it looking menacing, turning its lights on, beautiful
i love songs like this because so often we see things portrayed as “he cheated on me so now i have to mess up the other girl” but it’s not the other girl’s fault that the man is a cheater.
Enochian assbutt Usually he isn’t “lying to her too” though. From what I’ve seen, the other woman usually knows what’s up. So they’re both nasty and to blame. However, it’s ultimately the mans fault because he’s the one who is supposed to be in love with his wife/girlfriend. The other woman has no obligation to his wife. Well, other than it’s just human decency not to sleep with married men.
BS17 you’d be surprised my friend was a cheating on her husband. And some of the people didn’t know she was married she hid it so well. But now she’s being divorced cause I had the balls to not let a good man get played.
These lyrics tell a story, as the song progresses you can picture the whole thing happening. The murder, the funeral, and Two Black Cadillacs. A great song with a dark story
JerriK Sundberg Little known fact: The guy was actually faithful to her. Carrie just didn't bother to fact check her "woman's intuition" and just assumed she was right. She begged the film makers to leave out the embarrassing part after her hormones settled and she began to think rationally about her homicide, without a proper trial.
When writing a song, especially one like this, the artist becomes equal part singer/songwriter and actor/actress- They adopt a persona and build a story around the emotions of the song. It's a story that fits the song

Love the black Cadillac's, she has great taste in using them in this video that's for sure. Always gotta be a step ahead of the opponent lol because they're body language and actions give them away when they start acting like they used to be
I mean... it kinda became Christine there at the end (if you look closely, it repairs itself after it was driven into a wall, also that it drove itself off in the very last scene) but fair enough.
You should watch how they made the video. I watched a guy with a sledgehammer beating on those caddy fenders and destroying them. Sad really, but it's just a caddy. Worth nothing compared to a 58 Plymouth Furry.
"2 months ago she called the number on his phone" and they are just now burying him. You know it's over for you when your wife and secret lover take 2 whole months to plan your death. These girls were very thorough!
This song came out around the time I was crazy into killer car movies and when it would come on cmt in the mornings while I was getting ready for school I loved it this video definitely took inspiration from Christine an old American luxury car with its own dark personality and grudges both self driving and can fix themselves and many years later is still great 👍

Robby Nolan Little known fact: The guy was actually not a cheater. Carrie just never bothered to fact check her "woman's intuition" and just assumed she was right before committing homicide.
The part that always sticks with me about this song is, “The preacher said he was a good man and his brother said he was a good friend.” This is what happens in my community. The men stick up for each other and cover for each other and the women suffer for it and are blamed for it.
That has always bothered me. Since I can remember I tended to show signs of such reality. A little uncomfortable it is since she of the ladies did get attached to me at the moment. And most cases it would make the guy behave aggressively towards me. Anyways may God bless you and let's dismantle the lies.
This song played on the radio the entire week of my father's funeral when it was released and it still brings backs memories to that day, but I still love it

Most of Carrie's song is displaying a strong emotions just by the specific word choice she uses or the scenery u can for sure see how much she cares how each one of her videos come out

I love Carrie so much! There is something about her that makes me so happy when I hear her music or her voice. I can’t help but to fall in love with her music and keep it on repeat all day long.
I think people missed he was running from the first Cadillac. You see him running looking back. Then he is trapped by the second Cadillac. He was lured there. His GF walks away when wife shines lights. She got in her car and waited for him. I’m guessing he bought them each a Cadillac. Because it said one was for his wife and the other was for the woman who loved him at night. The eight ball keychain they purposely show it in the beginning of the video for a reason. The magic eight ball putting the car back together covering evidence.
Jennifer Auld good catch! Very observant of you girl. Lol, As I’ve only watched this a few times,I’m not sure I would have picked up on the 8 ball keychain at all. It just goes to detail and I was still trying to imagine how I would have even had the courage to get out of bed had I found out my husband was cheating on me ,much less call the number in his phone. Dreadful day for many women though. 🥀🤦🏼♀️
Ha! I. Halfway through an audiobook right now called "The Three Mrs. Wrights" by Linda Keir and with thd synopsis and the way the story is going, it's giving me vibes for the theme/story of this song. It's crazy and yet hard to stop listening to. I'm eager to see how it all goes down and it's surprisingly good. So if you're a reader and want Two Black Cadillac kind of story, pick this book up. It's crazy cause instead of two women (one being the guy's wife of course) there's three involved hence the title.
nope as it was not intended in a threating manner and you did not verbally or in written term's threatin his well being my dad has a degree in law so......
Carrie:Drives away Cop:who did this? Carrie:these things just sometimes happen Cop:but he’s Dead! Carrie: Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats *smiles and walks away* Cop:Hey where are you going?? Love you Carrie Your my favorite singer you music inspires me and everyone around you always do you Girl Carrie u a 👸🏼👸🏼👸🏼👸🏼👼🏻👼🏻
"Gosh, officer, another anonymous hit-and-run. Guess you'd better look for a car with front end damage, huh? You'll let me know if you discover any, won't you?"
Such a GREAT video to go with this song. I love thrillers, and this song and the video both have their own twists and turns. Leaves some things to the imagination in the end too.
Country music meets Stephen King. That Cadillac is like the next generation of Christine. But Christine is a better car than the DeVille. Can't beat an early muscle car like the good ol '58 Fury.
Carrie Underwood wouldn't make the video until she had Stephen King's permission (blessings) to make a Christine inspired music video. From what I understand he was excited to see what she was come up with.
Over 3 years ago my fiance died of cancer but I will always remember this song cause he said if he EVER cheated this is what I would do... I miss you babe! RIP 4/2/17 but you weren't WRONG my temper would've been lit
That's OK. If you start a war makes sure you have the tactical advantage such as the high ground, sufficient troops, resources and ammunition. As for the man, it will strategically become a war of attrition.
TheDivergentGamesCHB Little known fact: The guy was not a cheater. Carrie was mad and stopped asking questions before acting on her strong emotions. After her hormones settled, she realized that it was a baseless homicide.
I love that bridge too! Just the image of the two of them, arranging things by phone together, meeting the one time to publicly out him as having two women in his life, and then both walk away and get on with their lives. The "crimson smile" they shared is especially nice imagery!
My 7th grade teacher showed my class this song to analyze. Literally the only way I know this song. I recognized the music video scenery and the chorus.
+LazyDayzPenguin You can see why they cheat can't you, she's nuts! Probably went out on one date and she thinks there married! Guy broke up with her 4 times before he stopped returning her calls. She reminds me of Lorna Morello from orange is the new black
+Nicole Morack She's just one of those "special girls" you try to keep a distance from. Get too close she goes postal on you. Her music's ok, I just think the answers to her problems and messages she sends impressionable young woman is wrong.
I bought a 1964 Sedan DeVille in 1972 and gave $600.00 for it to the credit union where I worked. Looked and worked perfect. Felt like a big boat floating down the road. I used it to carry a big trailer that we used to carry our band instruments. Collectors items now but just a used car back then. Carrie always makes great records. What a singer!

@daciakelly6591 Good thing fictional stories don't have to be realistic.
The 2 ladies that the man cheated on were both the wife pretending to be another person. Carrie meets herself in this awesome vid.

Hello how are you doing dear please can I talk to you?
Luke combs: Girl leaves him, he has a lucky streak and a good time
Carrie Underwood: He cheats, kills him, vandalizes his car, or summons a storm

Carrie was doing these things before Luke was a thing. Guess the guys learned.

This is a masterpiece no matter what drama there is!
I love her music and sultry style. She hit the mark on both country and pop...my girl!

The Best Ballad she's ever sung! 💯❤
It’s been so long since I heard this and it’s still good.
The car fixing itself is a reference to the movie Christine (1983)
Andrew Scott I know. Great movie! I was speaking of this video.
Correct.
" guessing he bought them each a Cadillac"...doubt that, he was in the ground. Perhaps they rented their own Cadillac for the funeral.
They should turn this song into a movie
Ha!
If my boyfriend cheats on me and I send him Before He Cheats and this song, is it considered a threat?
Not really
Depends on how they see it
don't think so
nope as it was not intended in a threating manner and you did not verbally or in written term's threatin his well being my dad has a degree in law so......
no. it's just " being nice"
No haters for this stunning talented woman, she deserves the ULTIMATE best! All the love in the world goes to Mrs. Carrie Fisher!
That name fuck I'll say it that name sis no sis I can't
Dear guys,
Never cheat on a Carrie Underwood fan xx
I fear more for my car still.
The fans are harmless the singer is the real danger.
Oh wowww😂😂😂😂
Tough bitch I love it
So many ways to get away with shit🤣🤣🤣
Love Carrie Underwoods music great story teller
“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”
Martell Jasper yes 😈👌
Hell yeah!!! 😈😈🤞
Ya darn skippy
Or Carrie Underwood scorned.
Amen.
The ending was sooo spooky 👻
Brandy Lee still it would be cool if cars fixed themselves like that
I read that Carrie approached her fellow co writers and specifically stated she wanted something very dark. She must've had a spat with um someone. ;)
Christine, the killer car, has morphed from a red and white 1958 Fury to a black Caddy that looks to be the same era to me.
Brandy Lee Ok
Ikr
Well Jesus certainly wasn't at the wheel here.....
lol
HAHAHAHAHA
She took his body to both headlights maybe next time he'll think before he cheats
Rebecca Clark lol
You are so right, i was a little dissepointed in her
This song sticks out when I need inspiration!!!😊
Carrie:Drives away
Cop:who did this?
Carrie:these things just sometimes happen
Cop:but he’s Dead!
Carrie: Maybe next time he’ll think before he cheats *smiles and walks away*
Cop:Hey where are you going??

@@donnahayes9732 I know I love her
"Gosh, officer, another anonymous hit-and-run. Guess you'd better look for a car with front end damage, huh? You'll let me know if you discover any, won't you?"
They NEED to make a movie about something like this!😜😜😜😜😋😋😋😋😝😝😝😝😛😛😛😛
lol they did. It's called, Christine by Stepen King
As LaQuita said, it's based on the movie and book Christine. Right down to the self repairing car. Totally worth a watch.
YES! it is!
They did, Christine. Wicked movie. You should watch it.
LaQuita Rickman The book was better.
Such a GREAT video to go with this song. I love thrillers, and this song and the video both have their own twists and turns. Leaves some things to the imagination in the end too.
🖤Carrie Underwood🖤
Beautiful & Talented.
And thoughtful.💝
Remember when we were all complaining that this wasn't country and now look what we got
Country music meets Stephen King. That Cadillac is like the next generation of Christine. But Christine is a better car than the DeVille. Can't beat an early muscle car like the good ol '58 Fury.
Besides what does a Cadillac have to do with a 58 Fury
Christine... an 80’s movie... stars a murderous 57 Chrysler Fury that repairs and drives itself... driven by love...
harley quinn still with you i love this power couple and suicide squad
Did you know this song is inspired by the movie Christine?
Carrie Underwood wouldn't make the video until she had Stephen King's permission (blessings) to make a Christine inspired music video. From what I understand he was excited to see what she was come up with.
Oh my gosh, Carrie underwood meets Christine. You don’t need another woman for that car. She is the other woman.
YES! Someone else got the reference! Christine was a vicious, vindictive beast of a car, wasn't she? The book was amazing!
AWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!😆
Yes! I knew it the minute I saw the video!!!! Loved the reference and a great tribute to the car.
@@chrissyberman3653 Christine is a Strong Name Girl
Omg I just bought that book today .
This is a great song!
This needs to be a novel
It kind of already is. Read Christine by Stephen King. It's about a possessed 1958 Plymouth Fury. It was also a movie
For real tho!
The story told in the song has probably already been several novels, even before the song was written, it's a classic!
It is, sort of.
Over 3 years ago my fiance died of cancer but I will always remember this song cause he said if he EVER cheated this is what I would do... I miss you babe! RIP 4/2/17 but you weren't WRONG my temper would've been lit
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
We learn through Carrie's songs that she's not afraid to f*** s*** up if you cheat on her.
That's OK. If you start a war makes sure you have the tactical advantage such as the high ground, sufficient troops, resources and ammunition. As for the man, it will strategically become a war of attrition.
In the words of the great Teddy Roosevelt, "Speak softly and carry a big stick."
Alex Anderson that's exactly right. Shame is most people took that quote as an actual stick. LOL
TheDivergentGamesCHB Little known fact: The guy was not a cheater. Carrie was mad and stopped asking questions before acting on her strong emotions. After her hormones settled, she realized that it was a baseless homicide.
TheDivergentGamesCHB amen baby
I so love Carries music and this is one of my favorite’s.
Hello how are you doing dear please can I talk to you?
Your husband's cheating on you?
Google: Maybe do some family counseling or talk with him.
Bing:
Crap I forgot my shoe 👞 what
T do I do
No, leave a cheater and gain a life.
@@sportinatude Ahhh. A fellow Chump Lady! That blog saved my life when my husband cheated and left me at 47 for a 23 year old.
Carrie:"that was the first and the last time they saw each other face to face"
Me: ...........I'm shook 😲.........
A bit excessive but sure...
Glasses r stupid even for a Christmas Rachel shannon 6th
Who said i didn't
The crimson smile they shared at the funeral was a silent way of saying "The deed is done and we've had our fun."
I love that bridge too! Just the image of the two of them, arranging things by phone together, meeting the one time to publicly out him as having two women in his life, and then both walk away and get on with their lives. The "crimson smile" they shared is especially nice imagery!
A killer voice + ace songs = Explosive!
Love the Christine reference at the end!
My 7th grade teacher showed my class this song to analyze. Literally the only way I know this song. I recognized the music video scenery and the chorus.
Why would anyone cheat on such a stunning, lovely woman?
2019. still one of my favorite songs
LOVE The " Christine " Reference At The End ❤💯 Just Heard This Song Again For The First Time In Years On XM Radio This Morning 🤍
Every other girl cries when someone cheats on them Carrie just kills them lol
Good.
Sarah Freed lmao true
And destroys their car...
And when it's a guy he doesn't show it.
uh I mean I don't kill them.. but I don't cry cus they done messed up not my fault
Those cars are possessed!!!!
Carrie was the one driving the car ._.
Mira Nelson LOL
Mira Nelson right at the end?
jae norton Spin off Stephen Kings book & movie "Christine".
Lesson:Never cheat on Carrie Underwood.
Right she will f*ck u up 😂
+LazyDayzPenguin You can see why they cheat can't you, she's nuts! Probably went out on one date and she thinks there married! Guy broke up with her 4 times before he stopped returning her calls. She reminds me of Lorna Morello from orange is the new black
best thing I've ever read 😂
+Nicole Morack She's just one of those "special girls" you try to keep a distance from. Get too close she goes postal on you. Her music's ok, I just think the answers to her problems and messages she sends impressionable young woman is wrong.
+LazyDayzPenguin thanks for the laugh
I bought a 1964 Sedan DeVille in 1972 and gave $600.00 for it to the credit union where I worked. Looked and worked perfect. Felt like a big boat floating down the road. I used it to carry a big trailer that we used to carry our band instruments. Collectors items now but just a used car back then.
Carrie always makes great records. What a singer!
Excellent song 👌 and the video was fabulous 👌❣️💯
