So very interesting. I’m looking forward to going to the neighborhood and looking for the homes you highlighted. My grandparents were freshmen at State Teachers College in 1925. I have a panoramic photo of the entire student body.
Richard that is an excellent video. So much a part of my heart. Did you ever find history for our home at 1000 E. Stanford? Also, wondered if the home my grandparents bought on University between National and Fremont ( it was a tudor) was a Bissman home? They purchased it either right before WWII or right after. They lived there until early 1950's when they bought the farm in Strafford. I think I showed you pictures of the University home. Anyway, thank you for immortalizing these builders, especially King Bissman. You will be well remembered for the history you are preserving. I am so concerned for the future of this very special neighborhood.
Great vid!! Do you happen to know whats going on with the geyser shooting up in the park right now? Are you familiar w the Jon Levi historical youtube channel.? You may find some great intersections of knowledge between his research vids and your own. he recently made a great video about St Louis, the mound city
You are wonderful to listen to ! Thank you !
Extremely professional and well spoken. Actually it's fascinating how you put this all together. Thank you!
Nice. It’s been a while. Love the pictures and history
I have a Bissman Buffet exactly like in your photo, along with a matching dining table. My grandmother purchased in the early 50s
