Fun fact: Stolas is an actual demon from the Ars Goetia, a book of Solomon based on demonology. (Might be Christian, but I'd need to fact check that.) Stolas is "a Great Prince of Hell, commands twenty-six legions of demons. He teaches astronomy and is knowledgeable about herbs, plants, and precious stones. He is often depicted as a raven or a crowned owl with long legs."

Prince Stolas comes from _The Lesser Key of Solomon_ (specifically the _Ars Goetia_ section), a 17th century grimoire. Prince Stolas is also present in the older _De praestigiis daemonum_ (in the _Pseudomonarchia Daemonum_ appendix), a 16th century medical book which ironically says that people who believe in books like _The Lesser Key of Solomon_ are suffering from delusions. Also, _The Lesser Key of Solomon_ is not considered canonical by any denomination of Christianity.

It's highly implied that Octavia isn't close to her mother. Besides the single family portrait, all the pictures Octavia appears in is just her and her father. Octavia is also more concerned with Stolas leaving her alone and never coming back

It's clear their marriage is one of arrangement and politics and sadly Octavia was probably part of that arrangement.
also, there is the fact that when octavia cried when she was younger, her mother looked annoyed and clearly didn't wanted to go see her, of course when you are young parents you can be tired and want to sleep a bit more, but there was somesthing more than that, like detachment from the mother to octavia, clearly a political marriage
There was only ever one attempt the mom made and it's on the instagram where stolas says that for once he wasn't spending time with via bc she was having a quote "mommy daughter day". That's the ONLY time I ever even seen evidence or the mom trying
For anyone confused The cheating wasn’t the problem, it was the social status difference. Stolas and his family is higher in hell’s social hierarchy, imps are part of the lowest bit of the hierarchy. Stella (the wife) and Stolas are implied to be in an arranged marriage and she cares more about social status than the actual marriage
Yeah, if you listen to the argument Stolas says "I didn't have time to get a motel." Who in the hell says that as an excuse if your partner is upset about the cheating? Stella is more upset that a lowly imp was in her bed dirtying it.

Actually it was the cheating. That’s why she went on a rampage when she found out stolas was cheating on her. It made her felt even more useless when she found it out an imp was pounding her man.
Cheating made her close to the edge. But when she found it was imp. It was enough to push her to murder.

I think it's hilarious that Stolus is the only character that is censored in this series. Not only when he goes into disturbing detail on what he wants to do with Blitz but even when he uses regular swears that everyone else uses uncensored.
Its weird cause he uses the same word somewhere else and it just doesnt censor him i think.

His voice during the song reminded me hugely of the song "Silent Lucidity" by Queensrÿche, so I had to go and listen to that a good few times after hearing this song.

I think it's obvious that Stolas is in a arranged marriage, but still loves his daughter. It also gets me to wonder that maybe Stolas family did not approve of him being Gay, so they forced him into a marriage with his wife. I also think it's clear that the wife doesn't really love him, because in the argument it is more about him disgracing their nobility than actually cheating on her.
It could be that it was an arranged political marriage and not because of his sexual preferences, I also think the wife was angry due to Stolas sleeping with an Imp in their bed

Stolas is bi, so the whole "not approved for being gay" thing doesn't really apply there.
Arranged marriage tho I could see, considering their regal status. Or maybe just loveless like some spark that was there before is just gone now but he feels trapped (Even moreso given they got a child in the middle of it, granted he does genuinely love Octavia), and maybe Blitz is probably the only relationship -Whatever one they have- he feels free in.
That’s what I like about Stolas! He doesn’t blame the wife and yells at her as well but knows he did something wrong!
Stolas really is the new Doofenshmirz of the series. Questionable husband but still a good father to his goth daughter. Technically evil but still a lovable goofball.

Hey, nice profile pic. I just started playing this game two days ago. It’s fantastic so far!
Stolas is hands down the most tragically misunderstood character in this series. He obviously has to keep up appearances being a higher ranking demon and made the young dumb mistake of falling in love with the idea of being in love and marrying into a relationship to be "normal" instead of to be "happy". Despite all that you can tell he genuinely loves his daughter and wants to be a good father to her which makes it all the more tragically heartbreaking, and relatable, when you realize he entire character quandary is choosing between being a good father and being happy. Because that conflict is the driving factor for a lot of failed marriages. People fell in love with the idea of being in love and only after having a kid and the struggles that brings does it finally dawn on you about the mistake you made, but at that point it's too late and you're stuck in the same conundrum as Stolas. Do you be a good father to the kid you love, or do you betray everyone to seek the happiness you lost. Truly a fucked scenario to be in for sure
I mean, tbf, he could easily divorce Stella and do everything in his power to get custody of Octavia so they can still be around each other.

I think she missed on purpose. She makes a similar shot easily when an imp is on Stolas' back.
Or maybe it's some combination of that, the fact it's a shitty carnival toy, she didn't really take time to aim at all, and that she wanted to make Moxxie feel better. And maybe more things, who knows
@@KateCantDraw I've seen people say "we KNOW Millie is a better shot then that" when we, actually don't. That's the first time she's SHOT anything in the series. It's MOXIE that's the marksman of the two, Millie much prefers melee weapons, she's a brawler. If she missed on purpose, why would she get so excited when he said she DIDN'T miss? Naturally if it was a ploy to make her husband feel better, she'd have just gotten upset at the scam.
She CAN shoot things, as we see quickly after this, but it's not really her thing. Assuming she got there quickly, she'd have taken a good couple seconds to aim at the imp, line up her shot, THEN shoot. With the game she literally just grabbed the, probably not perfectly built, gun and pointed and shot without much thought.
Basically, I think people saying she did it on purpose is reading too much into it. Moxie rarely misses, if ever. Millie rarely shoots guns, if ever.

Stolas has a lovely song and its so cute he sings it to his little girl!
In the beginning, the song Stolas sings is so celestial because he is a demon of astronomy, which is really cool to see. The jester, Fizzarolli, is on the cereal box that Octavia is eating, and it, along with the themepark and even the freaking money, all have Mammon printed on them, who is a demon of greed, so appropriate. The signs in the background are hilarious, so keep an eye out for those. Like the Fizzarolli sex bot sign. Gives and receives, BDSM feature, ribbed for your pleasure, real tentacle action, 10 speed vibration, and machine washable. He ain't just for kids, that's for sure. Not sure if it was noticed, but Fizzarolli also rips off Charlie's lines from her song during his dance and song piece. The head that acts as the entrance to the funhouse is based off of Lucifer's face, so that's a cool reference and blatant copyright infringement by Loo Loo Land. Really surprising even Lucifer can't win a lawsuit against the owner (who seems to be Mammon). Somewhat hard to notice at first, but Fizzarolli also gets eaten by a dragon being ridden by Moxxie as Stolas and Octavia are leaving the park. And right at the end, Millie is getting dragged off by a fly dog creature that seems to be Hell's version of rats. It's the same animal that Valentino got as a pet (which he named Queef, and almost immediately killed, apparently) in the Official Hazbin and Helluva instagrams.

It seems to me like his wife may be just as much at fault. She seems to only really be there for the status and the money, which leads me to believe that maybe it was an arranged marriage. He wants a truly loving relationship, but is so sexually starved that he doesn't know how to show that with anyone except for his daughter, the one person he truly loves in the whole universe.

You shouldn't miss that Lucifer owns a theme park that in all likelihood he built for Charlie.
Stolas' marriage is political, and quite loveless (and believe me, a loveless marriage is a miserable one). And of both parents, only Stolas seems to love Octavia.
But Stolas seems to genuinely care for Blitzo.
His wife doesn't smile in any of their pictures, and during her argument with stolas she's mostly angry that he cheated with an Imp, the lowest race in hell society, more so than that he cheated at all
Incase you didn't know, Fizzarolli says he was shipped from "Big Ozzie"s Factory", and in the teaser it shows a few clips in a bar/restaurant called Ozzie's where Moxxie is on stage and Fizzarolli comes back

If they did get sued for burning the place down, it would technically be against the torch vendor, as Blitzo happened to fall onto the cart by accident.

The lesson here with Stolas ,that many have to learn, is that people have layers and cant be judged on only one thing.
This whole song makes me cry. It’s so beautiful yet so wholesome, and also yet also so sad, and yet so comforting……I love Stolas sm.
This is the episode that made them decide to change Stolas' voice actor. Even though the original voice worked for the original gag in the pilot, it wouldn't have worked for Stolas' character as a whole. If he spoke to Octavia with his original voice, it wouldn't have felt as genuine.
The beginning of this made me cry. I'm about to be a step-parent soon and I hope that I could be a good stepdad

Here’s the thing about Loo Loo Land. Lucifer, Charlie’s dad and head honcho of Hell, created his own theme park called Lu Lu World alongside his business partner Mammon, the demon of greed. Mammon, being the literal embodiment of greed, wanted more money than what he was getting from his contract, so he built a knock off spin-off amusement park so that he could get some money on the side, making lots of cosmetic changes so that he wouldn’t get sued, with employees even saying that suing them is impossible. However, since he wanted to lose the least amount of money during it’s creation, the park was built incredibly shoddily and unsafe, the animatronic band is in a constant state of disrepair, the rides are incredibly deadly, the games were rigged against the player, and the merchandise is incredibly overpriced, as noted by Moxxie. They couldn’t even get the real Fizzaroli over there, presumably because he is too expensive to hire on such a low budget, so they acquired a sex robot of him, as evidenced by his posters, and simply reprogrammed it to entertain the kids, while possibly at the same time offering sexual favors to paying adults at exorbitant prices. So in short, Loo Loo Land is nothing but a shameless cash grab built to leech off of Lucifer’s park all the while cutting all the corners, including ones that shouldn’t be cut, just so that Mammon can make big bucks.
Fun fact: the clown monster robot guy is voiced by the guy who played betelguse on the Broadway show. Really Damn good actor

And good on you for catching the Goetia demon thing. Not a lot of people understand that. When Stolas mentioned it in the episode a lot of people assumed it was his last name. It's not.
I don't think they are setting up his death, I think its more that his own adventures are over except one, his greatest adventure of being Octavia's father. Its something he'll always be, and as her father he'll always be looking out for her.

You know ever since finding out fire doesn't hurt imps I've looked at fire differently in this show. Fire is probably just more annoying to them but everything else can be destroyed around them while they're perfectly fine.

I love this Song. Seen it about 30 times now. It's as beautiful as it is dark and it slaps so hard!
I also love the out of touch father that tries to the best of his abilities trope and when it gets resolved. He may be a horny bastard and a terrible husband but he sure is a loving dad, and that makes his character so much deeper. Especially the line "now all my stories have been told exept for one" hit me hard, since it means that he doesn't see any more meaning in his life exept for his daughter. It also seems like his marriage has been strained for a long time, over a decade now. So him cheating on his wife wasn't a spontanious thing but the drive to do so has been built up over years of a more and more distant relationship. With the addition of his daughter distancing herself from him as well, he propably had just no joys left in his life and that brought him to do something drastic, just to do something new. Not excusing his actions here btw, cheating on someone is always terrible, just saying that now we have a context to his actions, and it makes the storyline a lot more interesting!

After seeing multiple reactions to this episode, I'm surprised I haven't come across one reactor who seems to have actually noticed the bit where Fizzarolli sings 'No copyright infringements ever seen' and then immediately proceeds to ripoff Charlie from Hazbin Hotel. It just seems weird that not one reactor that I've seen has actually acknowledged that in any way, shape, or form.
They may hate him but I fucking LOVE Fizoroli the Robot Demon Clown.
