i'm 57 years old and this is proof my generations music is the only way to play music. hard rock blues will live forever. these kids are fucking incredible
***** I just received their debut CD. They are 15 & 17 years (no info as to which are what age) old according to the info with the CD (it is a promotional copy). I am more impressed with each listen and look forward to experiencing the band live.
i dont care how young they are . im 63 years old and i love these guys. reminds me of the british invasion when i was growing up in the 60,s. singer looks like eric burden and they look a bit like the beatles and other early british bands but all that would not mean a stitch if they weren't good . they are damn good!
I like being this 62 year old geezer who for some reason music (and I do use the term VERY loosely) hadn't a snowballs in hell to ever have the glory days when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. Rory Gallagher, the late and GREAT John Dawson Winter and of course Zeppelin, I was ready to board up the shop and amble my way down Broadway and check into the Pablum and pureed veggie section at our local nursing home. Thanks guys for being inspiring enough to drag out the Strat. Be true to yourselves and any bullshit will roll off like water on a ducks back!
At this point, every band is emulating the past in some way, show me an wholly original musical act these days, there aren't any. And yes, I know I'm right :)
yes, the Strypes are great, but you can't just discount all the other amazing bands out there. go to a house/basement show. you just might be surprised at some of the awesome bands you'll find there as well
Have mercy! A great throw-back sound! Van Morrison and Them, THE YARDBIRDS and a bit of Eric Burdon and The Animals (again)! The Urges are king tone, as well! Thank you, Little Steven and The Underground Garage.
Don't listen to any criticism or musical advice fellas - you don't need it. You're not just brilliant for your age, you're brilliant for any age. Keep going with your own musical instincts.
Now I understand why these kids are Jeff Beck's favorite new band, That young kid sounds just like Jeff in the Yardbirds. I can't wait until these kids come to the U.S. I only wish I could have played like that when I was 15. It only took me 35 years! All these kids are stars! They are all excellent musicians
Just got the new Rolling Stone. There is an article in it about the Strypes. These kids will be monster huge. And there are lots and lots and amazingly good bands around the globe ( Finland, Sweden, Scotland, etc ) just waiting for the one band that will break hard rock back into the mainstream again. I think this might be the band. I am old enough to remember the hunger of the disco 70s for hard rock bands. It has been longer than that with the commercial pop stranglehold and lack of promo for real bands. These kids are still young but they remind me of the Beatles and Kinks in their early days. Which is a very good thing.
Good to see the kids are still playing Cream. I know it's a Robert Johnson song, but this is most definitely a cover of the cream version, I'd recognise it anywhere! The kid's aren't half bad
saw them last night cant get over how good they were fecking deadly they are a must see band brilliant got film of NAVAN great stuff if the band want it,,,
saw them last night at the Firestation, Bournemouth. Speechless. Four talented kids appealing to all age groups... shit I sound old. Fucking brilliant.
they are good and look very young remind me of the Yardbirds and Dr Feelgood .dont see many young players on Gretsch guitars nowdays ,cant think of any !!
i'm 57 years old and this is proof my generations music is the only way to play music. hard rock blues will live forever. these kids are fucking incredible
We shall congregate to good music regardless of age.
Greatest thing to ever come out of Ireland
Man, the energy of the early British R&B bands ... the Yardbirds, Stones, Who, Them, etc.... great players, super music!! Love 'em!

This is, in fact, a Yardbirds cover. Well done.
"Rollin' & Tumblin'" ...503 Workshop is correct but man, it's been covered by just about everybody.
onceuponamidnightdry covered by many but not quite this rockin... for kids that is. I am wowed!
You've got good taste it would seem. I'm not that much older than the band members and have a similar taste.
I am 103 and I love these guys!!

This is what dedication and hours upon hours of practice gets: pure tight, energetic rock. What the music is meant to be!

Best Band I've heard in years!
This band is going places, especially the guitarist. At sixteen that is some serious talent going on.

These kids are better than pretty much every North American rock band on earth right now, amazing.
Better at what? Emulating what a billion other bands have done over and over and over, then you're right.
At this point, every band is emulating the past in some way, show me an wholly original musical act these days, there aren't any. And yes, I know I'm right :)
Bob Judd Maybe you should play this on some of your jellyfish videos to excite you more

Have mercy! A great throw-back sound! Van Morrison and Them, THE YARDBIRDS and a bit of Eric Burdon and The Animals (again)! The Urges are king tone, as well! Thank you, Little Steven and The Underground Garage.

The Yardbirds (Jeff Beck era)+ Dr. Feelgood (Wilco Johnson years) sound, and It's played by 4 teenagers. Amazing, cool!

かっこよすぎだろ!
Whoa. Damn straight.
I think this is my favorite take on the song so far by them: The tightness, the guitar and drum breaks in the middle, the sheer attack of it.
holy sh-t, I'm glad the lead vocalist pulled out the harp. Love that these youngsters know their yardbirds and make it their own.
