She had us from the get-go when she ruled the crowd in her 2016 Fred Shellman Memorial Stage debut, and we’ve invited her back every year since then. We’re so grateful she says yes! How do we love her? Let’s count the ways. Let’s start with her guitar chops. She makes the guitar cry and sing, and her solos are like riding a magic carpet through time and space. Love this clear, throbbing and sproingy rhythm. Watch It Die is amazing mini-drama within one song. It's absolutely spectacular.

Shes been performing scince jhonny cash n willie nelson got started and was one of the First chicks to tour and play music live. The dudes Hated it and messed with her alot!...Ladies working NOW owe her much cuz she paved the way for em all to become accepted in the Industry. Pat benetar..blondie..the Heart girls...all of em had to struggle to get respect even years later..imagine how them southern cowboys used to diss her?..but she couldnt be stopped.not a great country fan but her stuff was "all American" and she sings like an Angel. She was always one tough Southern classy Lady !....Samantha is Alot like her.

Samantha is (1) a great composer (2) a great lyricist (3) a great singer (4) a great musician (5) a great guitarist (6) a hard working professional. Not necessarily in that order ;-)

And an old soul. She channels every era of the blues with a heaping dollop of her own original rock melodies. Like Jimi or Stevie Ray, I want to hear every note and vocal she does where ever she goes.

Aside from being a stunning show, this performance was a brilliant stroke of marketing strategy, just a week prior to the album release and mirroring her launch of the diamond eye and sparkly suit on the Acura Stage at NOLA Jazz Fest in May.

Well ... I know she has that face paint on one of songs ( that I can't seem to recall at the moment because it's one of my favorites... lol) but enlighten me on why she wears that mark on her face? Love Samantha Fish. But this diamond on the eye thing to seem so gimmicky and the semi- pop direction feels a little bit like recording contracts are being fulfilled rather than digging in and going with the vibe. Hope she makes enough money to get back to her roots, or this new direction is something that is her idea that she wants to explore.
