I was looking for ways to fix this 5B00 on my canon G3000 printer but most of it required some paid software. I found this video and followed exactly the steps and it worked!!! Thank you for sharing!!
Worked well for my G3000 printer ! Thanks lot... ( I tried some other videos , where they provided some other tools, it didn't work , asked for some key !)
Thanks a lot mate. You helped me a lot. I was worried and would have had to pay for getting it fixed for something so small but definitely complex too.
Great tutorial. Glad I found it. Did you clean your ink absorber pads before doing this? Or did you clear the error and continue using the printer? Thank you
Mine g3000 wifi one not printing color except black. Previously happened after cleaning(by pressing stop button until alarm flashes 2 times or 3 times like deep cleaning) test printing coming fine and color print working well. But same happened after 6l8 months. Not using it frequently. Same process followed but at deep cleaning ALARM AND POWER ALTERNATIVELY FLASING 8 TIMES. SEARCHED FOR THE ERROR CODE AND FOUND 1700/ 1701 INK OBSERVER FULL. WHAT TO DO?
I have tried this process several times, but I never get a test print to come out. The green and orange lights go back to cycling 7 times, and the error is there again. Any advice? Thank you for helping us on this.

Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial! I will be trying it soon. I have a question before I do, and I hope you can please help.. I refilled my G3200 ink tanks for the first time ever, and received the 5200 error afterwards. Should I clean the ink absorber in my printer before performing this and clearing the error? Thank you so much!

doesn't work for my G2000 😭
But after pressing the stop button 5 times , nd again power button my printer goes off .. kindly solution plz
You need to hold the stop button and power button together and follow the release process , watch the video carefully and listen to what I said
csquarerocks yeah I did it the same , after the frst step , nd again pressing 4 times stop nd then power my printer goes power off ... .. i was thnkng to press 4times the stop nd then it worked after that it only performed nozzle check nd from lptp the status was shown that printer not found
Nd also found that after 5 times pressing stop button the yellow light becomes stable nd the printer become hang ..
I’m having the same problem :( When I press ‘stop’ four times and then Power, the printer turns off
