    I do like the term "economy of effort"... I might have to steal it!

    Awesome videos! I'd love to see you apply this technique to a Zaku from the Gundam franchise. I'll probably experiment with the idea myself once I can spare some cash for paint.

    At least I can see the consistency of a paint you are working with. Thank you.
    Quick question about painting straight from the bottle. Aren't you afraid that not thinned down paint will build up too much or cover some details?

      I know this comment is 6 years old now but for anyone curious given the technique and approach you could always buff and sand any imperfections and then touch up with paint. This can add some extra visual interest as well.

    Love this channel. I always liked using my brush, but most technique videos give me reasons not to use a brush.

      Awesome, thank you and yes you are so right, I know exactly what you mean. This is why my buddies told me, "start making TH-cam videos!" about brush painting!!

    Hi Linc-sensei!
    Do lacquer paints damage your sable brush? Should I just stick to synthetic when painting with lacquer. Thank you :D

    man i wanna paint but im just a 12 year old who can only panel line. what alternative material can i use as paint? can i use like... nail paint?

      @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mikael, with experiments you can use any paints but please be careful, check with your parents and always make sure you have plenty of fresh air.

    Quite frankly I prefer the brush to air when it comes to camo. A bristle brush can do amazing things.

      depends on how much you need to lighten it. A little, grey, a lot, white! Good luck!

    I love the way that the exposed color borders look, this is a great lesson overall, very interesting. I like how this is a mix of some camo theory, but you make sure to keep it looking cool!

    Brush painted looks so cool, much more organic than airbrush.

    the counter camo has to do with how other sea life view them, they look up and see light falling through the water, so the underside is lighter, when you look down it's darker, so the top of the organisms is dark, they do this often on aircraft too with white undersides and grey top

    This might be a dumb question, but Mr.Color is a Laquer paint, isn't it?

    • @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright
      @PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes that's right!

    • @Schmaratul
      @Schmaratul 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was just wondering because I thought I heard you say in the with ZakuAurelius that you don't like Laquer paint? I must have misheard that I guess :)
