Great tutorial ! My G5X must have different firmware, as the only way I can get into the star mode is by using the touch screen, the control dial does not give the option.
If I shoot in the Scene/Star mode the camera sets the exposure length. If I shoot in M manual or B Bulb is just experiment with the exposure length to find what looks best.
I'm looking to buy a compact camera that can take good pictures. I'm more into landscape, and I usually backpack or climb mountains. Would you recommend this camera or G7x iii or lumix LX10, Sony rx100 v?
I prefer the G5x over the G7x mainly because of its excellent view finder. For travel and remote trekking situations I feel the viewfinder may draw much less power than the full screen and allow longer operation from a single battery charge.
Question how do you factory reset the canon PowerShot g5x.i can't FIGUER out how to do it I have settings all different when it comes down to the settings

Tien Tran I suggest the G5x. I like the viewfinder and the camera takes excellent photos in jpg or raw format.
