@@SciTyeTech Pretty big bugs you got there :D.. What also worked a good bug killer was that old 400W HQL where i broke the white glass layer.. Sadly it didn't last that long tho.. maybe 1.5 months in fair use after it broke..
I don't have a part number but I can give you the link of where I got this. www.amazon.com/FASTROHY-Step-up-High-Voltage-Generator-400000V/dp/B07HCP8QFN/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=fastrohy+dc+3v+6v+400kv+boost&link_code=qs&qid=1656718541&sourceid=Mozilla-search&sr=8-3
I just used 12 x 450v 35,000 μf caps wired in series with a 240v supply rectified to dc so 360v or around i guess. But aside from bugs, if anything really touched it im pretty sure theyd not be able to touch it again.. sounds like a 45 getting shot.. and totally melts the end of a screwdriver in one zap.. got a wasp on it once.. it disappeared.. scared the dog fart outta me when it did too..
I really like how you say, "just like this", and "just like that". It makes me feel safe even though there's a high voltage transformer involved in the project.
Dude, great video. You, in a very good way have a calming voice not unlike the late great Bob Ross. Good job. 👍
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Also best video ive seen yet. Great job
Doesn't this require a timer circuit to prevent burning it out?
No because after the bug is zapped it will not use the circuit too long.

Please whisper more. It makes the project seem secret 😮
I thought these types of transformers overheat and break unless they are discharging every few seconds? Yours works without overheating?
what votage it is?
10kv.
Were you scared already when you started to put this together? :D The wand of yours shakes rapidly xD
Cardboard? Unless I want to burn my house down, no thanks.
Can you test if an open hv arch attracts bugs
Look into pvc board. Almost as easy as cardboard but water proof
What its the resistor for? Can I add more leds and if so how many?
You could add more leds and the resistor is to reduce the current to the leds.
Can you share the transformer info? Part number?

lol! That seems powerful!!
I like the cut of your jib.
Can u make it solar powered
I have a 2000v tesla coil...
and a 20,000v one
That's cool!
transformer ratings
What type of coil is that?????
Are you meaning the high voltage generator?
@@SciTyeTech Yes, that one.
I never knew ASMR electronics was a thing, its calming. Do an episode whispering pls lol
lol! It seems everybody says the same thing. So, I probably will make an ASMR series.
@@SciTyeTech sorry but it would be cool if you did it for the lols, and yes your soothing voice was a pleasure to my ears.

Is it chargeable?
You can use rechargeable batteries.
Kinda also a finger trap😆😆
lol!
