I have the black one with the black receivers. I'm using the Chauvet obey 3 with the transmitter and they work great. I have one plugged into each one of my lights, Chauvet swarm and the scorpion. I haven't used the third receiver yet because I'm looking to get another light at some point.
Just to clarify, The transmitters have 7 channels to transmit on. That is in case you get interference or if you want to have an additional transmitter at the end of a dmx run of fixtures (wired). You can have as many receivers on a channel as you'd like. you are not limited to 7 receivers.
You can not have as many receivers going to one transmitter as you'd like. You are indeed limited to 7 receivers per transmitter. I have 14 receivers and 2 transmitters. On more than one occasion when I first bought them all I really didn't want to set up the additional transmitter - so I tried using 8 or 9 receivers off one transmitter - it doesn't work. Once you eclipse 7 receivers off one transmitter one of two things will happen: A) It simply won't work B) It will work - kind of - but now each of the fixtures going to the transmitter is prone to dropping out completely (this is what happened when I first tried to do it this way). So you may possibly be able to temporarily get away with it, but be careful - talking with Donner they said limit to 7 receivers. The great thing is these have not yet had any interference issues in over three years - even when using my Sennheiser digital 2.4 wireless microphones in the same room. Just choosing a color and sticking with it has worked great for me. I use 'green' for one set of 7, and and 'purple' for the other.
I'm using these as well, but I get an occasional "blink" pout of them, and if a colour change happens to occur at the same time as a blink, my fixtures go dark and stay dark until the next colour change. Have you had this happen? And any idea why this might be happening?
hello sir..if i use this product?can i control led matrix or led panel to show graphics, videos, text, pictures, etc.... using software like glediator, jinx, vixen.... thank you sir....
Let's say I run an universe, but assign about 7channels.... Then use about 5 of the same lights with one group, and then continue my universe from any light (closest) to next light in the universe. So, let's say address 1-6 7-12 13-18 19-24 Then 25-31 (but it'd be one group) Then 32-37, a diff light at a diff location, nearest to the last lights.
That absolutely should work! As long as you stay within the 512 for total assessments, and run 7 receivers total off 1 transmitter you can daisy multiple units off one receiver.
Good question. So you would have to place a transmitter in the DMX out position of "Light 1" and a receiver in the DMX in position of "Light 2" and see if they talk to each other in a master/slave configuration. Never have tried it that way, my guess is it would not work. I'll try it and make a video!

when you say the dmx receiver needs power do you mean it has to be plgved into a seperate outlet or can it draw powerfrom the light itself

I have 2 chauvet mini kintas and 2 adj dj spot 250 and I don't wanna mess around with a dmx board
Can I use it as a main receiver on a lighting stand with 6 lights, connected each other by dmx cable on 3 different channel?
That should work, yes!
How long they batteries last?

What DMX controller are you using?

You move the camera too fast 😦
Please do not move the camera all around. I am sturdy.
TKS anyway
Can they be used without a dmx board (master/slave )
