    Color over the writing with the same color in a dry erase marker. Then IPA swab it. Take so much less time and that dry erase ink penetrated permanent ink.

    I'm bummed that my Yellow won't hold a save. However, when I tested it in my Super Gameboy, it didn't delete my save. It does in my Gameboy Pocket, and my Gameboy Advance SP, though. I'll need to buy a replacement battery, and see if my buddy can solder it on for me. Other than that, my cart is flawless. I take good care of it.
    EDIT: Never mind, it still erases my save on the Super Gameboy. I just got lucky the first time. lol

    How much would one charge for this or what is a reasonable price?

      I’d probably do it for about $10 plus shipping. If you’d want me to do it, send me an email support@vetrogaming.com

    0:08 Bro! Right it tight!!! I like that you did a jump cut to turning it to the left and removing the screw. Love that you said, "original, *functional* , and cosmetic glory." Yet you never show that screw back in the game. Probably because you blew out the hole from torquing that shit to the right so hard. Also, denatured alcohol is a much batter choice. It is an industrial solvent and paint thinner (in other words it can remove goo from stubborn reseller tags and ink with one chemical).

    I replaced my Pokemon Yellow with a CR2025 Battery since its the only save battery I have at this time. Sadly after I soldered the battery successfully, when I turned on the game, it just stays flickering the screens endlessly and the game never starts… guessing this battery is not compatible with the Pokemon Yellow game? It worked on Pokemon Red tho so I dunno whats the deal there…. any tips would be appreciated.

      That battery is a bit big for that game. Pokemon Yellow normally comes with a CR1616 which is smaller in both diameter and thickness. Your battery might be touching something and shorting it out, or the game was damaged during the battery swap. Remove the battery and see if the game boots up.

      Red and Blue use bigger batteries than Yellow btw

      @@questionmark4877 How would the game damaged during the battery swap? There was a time yesterday it worked perfectly and actually saves with the big battery. But welp, tonight its having that flickering problem again :P

      @@MagboGaming It is possible that two pins got soldered together, or some component on the board was burned if the soldering iron slipped. If the problem comes and goes like you described, I'm thinking that the battery is shorting something out but I don't know for sure. I hope you're able to get it fixed.

      @@questionmark4877 Yeah I hope so too. I may need to swap to CR1616 to see if it fixes the problem. I should be getting it by monday, not sure when I will change it so lets see what happens.

    Hello everyone, I recently found my childhood pokemon gameboy advance game cartridge and bought a ds lite to play it but it doesn't even show up on the ds. Can anyone direct me to someone that can bring back my saved files and replace the battery with a new one and put my old file back on the cartridge?!? Seeking help please 😢

    • @Krojix
      @Krojix 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      i believe for gen 1 games once the battery dies you lose your saved file

    • @hailme1

      Unfortunately, almost ALL GB/GBC/(early)GBA games used volatile memory which required a battery, so if the battery dies, so does the file(s).
