this is a good strat, another thing is if your portal is contested and you're not confident in risking the pvp around it you can go "red pilled", pop a health pot and travel through the red zone to another portal. It's way safer than people might think.
Good tip, completely agree, I talk a bit about it later in the video but not about using it to avoid pvp!

in my limited experience, priest is only really useful in team play, because its free healing
another bonus is if you have 75 faith, the priest is basically a free revive.
its really fucking weird that they decided to prioritize the fortnite circle not doing enough damage over actually fixing the INSANE balancing issues in the game as of late.

100% depends on what I want to achieve in that run. If I want to pve using long vanish is pretty good. But I am releasing a video soon with instavanish and you'll see where it becomes BROKEN.

I've yet to see a blue portal open up before someone jumps me. Have been trying to get the artifact, and it's just rogues running up on me.
I have the opposite problem. I really like the PvP, but every game I'm just running around never finding anyone to fight.
I'd suggest the sit in spawn strat! Go in with more pots and bandages than you plan on and wait until a zone or two passes, maybe even the red is approaching! You could also make a lvl 1 Rogue to make getting around easier during it.
Low effort video. Instead of opening the map we all have and point at the blue portal icons which no one can miss, consider showing how to get to each portal, as that's what the map actually DOESN'T show - the height level and how to get there.
