I'm an SU doll fan, so I'm non biased. Honestly both squads did really good. The GG'S did what they always do, which is SLAY!!! Like I always say, I LOVE the energy they bring. It's never a dull moment. Now the Dega Diamonds..............hunny, I was NOT ready!!! Them girls came ready to battle!!! I love how they have evolved. They definitely made a statement at this battle. They just proved that they can hang with the BIG FOUR aka Dolls,Jsettes,Stingettes and GG'S. This battle was too close to call so its definitely a TIE!!!

This was daga's best show of the year (crankfest was next best) they are my favorite team behind Alcorn, they are also Alcorn favorite because of the same two reasons, (1) both team are humble (2) both have their own stlye. They had three friendly battles this year. In this battle Alcorn practiced all of their slow songs, they are know for fast high energy but they are so powerful they can get away with it. Thanks you Dagas for a wonder show, can't wait to see you next year.

Okay now I can say that those Dega Diamond ladies have come into there own now,they look absolutely amazing and there counts are there own,they definitely don't look like other squads that they were being compared to in the past, also those ladies are gorgeous especially the captain and my opinion is that they ate the gg's and I'm absolutely shocked that I would be saying this,now this is how you start from a band and squad from nobody to somebody and something serious, my hats off to Taladega's band and the Dega Diamonds dance squad!

Diamonds uniforms were nice. They looked good overall. Giving me too much of Sting/Diva vibe which is disappointing because they really started to separate themselves and come into their own this season. Hopefully they can get back to that.
GGs did what they do. They entertained from start to finish. You don’t have to like them but you will respect them. They took this W without even trying.

What was so surprising is that the thick girls can dance better than the skinny girls on other teams, and if they are the better dancers are you going to discriminate. Hats off to Alcorn for going with the best dancers and not the skinny, starving, hungry looking girls that many have been brainwashed to like, and shame on you for being a women and thinking that way.

I love the diamonds but them GG’s was on another level. Any high school can do the diamonds counts and look like a diamond but only a GG can perfect a GG count because they are so detailed and precise.

It’s not all about volume but Dega could be giving more with their numbers. Alcorn seems to be right there with them in that category and their arrangements and song selections are better. Good battle overall. Dega Diamonds and GG’s look great
Dega had my full attention until 12:34! Power and volume under control is a beautiful thing. This was a great battle, the dancers were awesome. Don't take this as an insult, Dega did a lot better than they did at Crankfest. They did well - VERY well! Alcorn - great sound as always

This was a cool battle. Alcorn took it. Overall they were cleaner, better balanced, and had a better tone. They still had plenty of volume. Dega was having a blow fest. A lot of nasty attacks and releases, tone quality was terrible. There were some shades of improvement earlier in the season but idk what happened here.

To be honest, the only HBCU college band that ALMOST gets spoken of as equally as their dance squad is Southern. They and their Dancing Dolls seem to pretty much own TH-cam and other social media platforms. And this is coming from me, a guy who lives in Cali and can only dream to be around HBCUs.
If you want to see part 2 of this battle be in mobile this weekend for senior bowl. Dega and Alcorn will go head to head in a full game match up style... halftime and 5th....

Now For The Dega Diamonds We Only Seen Them Like Twice This Season (Crankfest & Alabama BOTB) Cause They dont Have A Football team... So to see their counts is refreshing cause it’s something new that we haven’t really seen. Now That Uniform!!!😯👐🏼 The Dancing Divas Wore That Exact Same Uniform (with their briefs instead of their pants) With Their Battle Against The Dancing Dolls Last Year That Exact Same Way With The Shoes & All. The Dolls & The Divas Are The Only Two Teams I Seen Where Those For Like Their Pep Rally Uniforms. Then Their Team Names Both Have That Double D Ring To It. So That Was Kinda Cringy.🥴 I Kept Having To Remind Myself That Is Was The Dega Diamonds & Not The Dancing Divas. Also their both from Alabama and have that similar maroon color so yeah. It was very distracting for me. If They Could Wear A More Significant Uniform In The Future That Would Be Great. Other than that it was pretty good👍🏼
This was a who want that smoke battle both teams came with their A-game which made it very entertaining. The band's sounded good I'm going with Alcorn on this one. Shunti was like oh hell no they gone get this work today!🔥

A couple of my ladies on DDs back row need some recognition 😍😍
The Dega Diamonds remind me a lot of the Dolls in their overall look and counts. Their counts are clean and together and they are all gorgeous. The GGs give lots of energy but sometimes they give so much energy that they don't stay together during their routine.
Both did awesome
The diamonds started off real good, but the only one that kept their momentum were the GG’s. The diamonds didn’t really take me anywhere, a battle is suppose to build up and up, and they just didn’t do that. A lot of their girls weren’t focused just looking around and not paying attn when dancing, it caused a lot of stupid mistakes that shouldn’t have happend and some timing issues. The GG’s kept the same energy the ENTIRE time and was not here to play wit y’all. The captain was smart about every stand she threw and it made sense. They took me on a journey and there was a build up. The diamonds just didn’t bring it as hard as the GG’s... alcorn ATE them up sorry 🤷🏾♂️

Talladega's announcer didn't leave no doubts who he liked, when the GGs started dancing he got so excited he totally forgot the Diamonds were there, and on the next to last song he started breathing heavy, his voice got real deep, and started screaming in the middle of their dance routine, he couldn't hold it any longer😂🤣😅😆

Degas did very well, can't expect them to hang with the GGs, but they put on a performance that got your attention and was not boring like the rest of the SWAC
Band wise ... ALCORN. Danceline wise... Dega Diamonds! Golden Girls Always put on a show with ENERGY! However, Synchronization is really the GGs only issue! A lot of y’all not gone address it bc y’all bias and gone pick the popular team. Dega Diamonds are dancing as a unit and LOOOK TF GOOD! Regardless of y’all saying they giving stingette, diva, or Doll.. whatever they giving it’s working and they need to keep it up!
I must agree with you. GGs are phenomenal...They have the talent, innovation, and style. But they really need to work on their technique and presentation. You see arms at different levels....bent knees when they should be locked out...not hitting the right position in unison. easily things you can fix. I hate to say it, because it's unpopular but they really should start to really enforce a body type limit. It's great that they don't turn away girls because of their body....if you can dance...you're on the the team, but it ends up making them look a bit sloppy and not uniformed.

It appears you folks are living in the past attempting to keep putting NCAA dance rules to HBCUs dance teams. The Goldern Girls were first and have never used those rules. And now that they are ruling the SWAC, with their thickness and uneven arms, other teams are trying to be more entertaining, instead of being perfect, boring and left behind. Do you think the other top three teams who got ate are staying with losing presentations. You saw them starting to pick it up a bit at the end of last year.
