That fire pit is so dangerous for so many reasons, here are the 2 biggest: 1- you're under the tree canopy, loose embers can rise with the smoke and light dry trees on fire 2 - you need to dig a base and line it with rocks. Fire can get into the ground, burn unknowingly for hours/days and spread via the tree root system to start a fire somewhere else. This is how major forest fires are started, please don't use that until you've resolved the issues.
@@adoptedalgerian thank you for you suggestions. I am extremely careful when doing a fire, safety is my first concern. I never let it unattended and I wait it to extinguish before I leave. And I never do it during dry periods. We had heavy rains recently and soil is extremely wet due to its composition. I am also concerned about fire spreading underground indeed. But that’s a good suggestion I will follow and improve the base. Thanks!
