From New Zealand you can see (with the naked eye at night) the Large and Small "Magellanic Clouds." These are dwarf galaxies that orbit our own. They're not visible from the Northern Hemisphere. They got their (English) name following Magellan's circumnavigation voyage beginning 1519 - when sailors on the voyage reported clouds in the night sky that didn't move with the wind like normal clouds. Obviously they were known by other names to people living south of the equator long before then.
Am I the only one here who is here becz I didn't get to see it for real and regretting it now even if it was not my fault that the weather was cloudy? No? Ok
Apcom computer Education bro my friend said it was January 31ST at night and it was on the 30th btw, and I freaking missed it! I’m so mad. Everyone in my class got a video of it except me, IM SOOOOOOOOOOO MAD
I live in Germany and here you could see it at 12 to 2 pm on feb 1st but since it’s already light out we won’t be seeing anything at all. It sucks so much
I once did some stargazing on a rural mountaintop where someone was passing around military night vision goggles... It was unbelievable how many more stars there are just below our visual threshold, even in a place where light pollution was minimal. It was like wearing the Hubble Deep Field on your face. That camera captured this event quite well.
Firman Shah you can find nvg goggles and monoculars at military and surplus outfitters, and some places sell it as hunting gear. eBay as well; some people keep theirs when they get out of the military and flip them on there. There are better and worse generations of light amplification technology, but stay away from camera-ir based toys... Educate yourself before buying; www.nightvision4less.com/education-center-night-vision-generations.aspx
Oh wow I just noticed, your view of the moon is upside down(bunny ears down) from where I am. Last night the "bunny ears" were up right at the top of the moon from PDX .. That's cool Southern Hemisphere really is the opposite from the northern sky
About 6:12 you can see a large face in the clouds cross over the entire screen. It is a side view of a face. Mouth nose and eye inside outline of a head shape.
They ia6b receiver should be able to output SBUS, but only with the right transmitter. The standard FS-i6 will not do it, but you might be able flash some custom firmware. The only thing I have confirmed to do SBUS is the FS-i6X transmitter (standard firmware). I tried it in this video: th-cam.com/video/WBVmkXN8HC8/w-d-xo.htmlm14s
Great footage! I got to the see the Eclipse, but the moon was setting (while the sun was rising) as it was reaching it maximum, so I didn't get to that "Blood Moon"

Oregon had the bright full moon all throughout the night, which was clear until morning. It was spectacular. By the time of the eclipse though it was over the pacific coast so I didn't get to see it :/
ya I was waiting for the eclipse all night and the next day when it was the actual eclipse I slept through the whole thing I was pissed and on the news it said I had to wait 4 years to see it
LOL in my class, we was talking about the supermoon blue blood moon, and I saw the moon, it was orange, then when it rose, it was a lunar eclipse, blood red, but then my class said "It's blue, as in sky blue!!" It wasn't, because blue doesn't mean it will be physically blue
Theboss24611 due to timezones you could be up to a full day behind the date here . In Australia you can celebrate new years eve . Then get on a plane and celebrate new years again in America. True story
There was one in July 2018 but I missed it but on January 2019 I will see another total lunar eclipse. It will be clear in most part in Europe. The best view will be in America and England
Hey thanks man for uploading this video. I really wanted to see this event but I don't know; all I could see was a bunch of stars. I looked every portion of the sky trying to figure out where this moon went which always smiled upon us all the other normal days. But whenever there is a special celestial occurance our sky is either cloudy, or else the moon plays hide and seek😕
No, but I think I saw some kind of satellite once. Looked like a star but moving in a straight line clear across one side of the sky to the other in about ten minutes, way too fast for a plane.
Great topic astronomy and a lot of things to awe us in the sky. Was curios of what object you saw that looks like a cloud but is made of stars but figured out when you said it's spread across the sky - that can only be our own galaxy The Milky Way and unfortunately less and less people can experience that amazing sight because of light pollution. I bet that is why you haven't seen it in Japan which is much more populated and so much more light pollution. For the occasional star gazing night I highly recommend a pair of binoculars with not too big magnification(7x50mm or 10x50mm are nice) and that will show the numerous pinpoints stars in our galaxy and the Magellanic clouds which are smaller satellites galaxy to our galaxy and can only be seen best in the southern hemisphere. All the best!
Hi John, no, when he describes it as being "like a cloud" it'll be either the LMC or SMC he's looking at. These galaxies are too far south in the sky to be seen from Japan
So i stared at the moon for a while and it looked like 3 moons were forming and there was a blue ring around it,is that supposed to happen becauussseee idk if its just me
You can say that flat earth doesn't help us predict lunar eclipses...but NASA is still keeping it a secret. And how is it possible to both the moon and the sun in the sky, and there be a shadow being cast of the Earth? If the moon gets it's light as because it is reflected from the sun, that how is it possible for red moon light show through the shadow? Yet a thin cloud can completely block out the moon? Do you know where I can look at a lunar eclipse map of the last hundred or so years? Nice video.
sablechicken the red light comes from . You guessed it red light spectrum , the red light spectrum is a wider beam than the other spectrums so it kind of 'bends' (?) Around the earth and still hits the moon . Get a true grasp on physics before you go listening flat earth "experts"

iforce2d, thank you for your reply. We have been told that the red part of a lunar eclipse is actually the shadow of the Earth. You are telling me that it is something different. That it is the light of the sun bending around the Earth, changing white light into a rainbow of color but we only see the red because it is at the end of the spectrum. Which brings up more questions. What is the prism that produces the bend? If it is the atmosphere, than why are we not seeing a lunar eclipse every month? This link www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/list.html is interesting but I am not finding information on past lunar eclipses from 1900 there. What I looking for is a pattern. It was a supermoon , bluemoon , blood eclipse
Tamara Thompson Super Blue Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse
Drama Qween i find that term to be a little bit of a verbal wank job
Not a blue moon here in NZ (the eclipse happened on 1 Feb, so it wasn't "a second full moon in a calendar month")
It depends on your time zone. In certain time zones it wont be a bluemoon
That's right, and this video, like my photos of the eclipse was taken on 1 Feb, so no 'blue' moon

we are getting light from sun , so the same fire light comming upon earth too. then why the earth doesn't shown red color for the satlite pictures
The sun red light is passing on earth and bounces on the moon you idiot.
