My upapada lagna comes out to be 6th house ruled by scorpio ie mars .. if i take this to be the first house then mars is in 6th house (11th h of lagna chart) along with jupiter and Saturn. Results? Sun comes in 5th in UP lagna & in 10th h in lagna chart. Ketu in 3rd h of up lagna. Venus mer in 4th house of up lagna. Venus being the 7th h lord of up lagna(venus is actually the 12th lord of my d1 chart) moon in 8th house and rahu in 9th in up lagna.. results 😅????
My 12 lord is in 9th house, so per the calculations my upapada lagna is 6th house. I don't get your point when you said it will be 3rd house.

capricorn ascendant here, 12th lord jupiter is in 2nd house and my upapada lagna falls in the 4th house. 4th lord is Mars but Saturn (1st lord) sits in the 4th house in Aries.. its debilitated. what does it mean ? is it a bad placement ?

12th lord is in its own sign. I think you didn't explain that. Maybe I missed it.
