    That is awesome!!! I have one that I converted, threw my own axles under it, and has powered ramps and landing gear. It works well, but it is super short, which is ok, I like the way it turned out (a video of it is on my channel). I am in the process of building another, I have a new trailer (with ramps this time), and I want to extend it out a ways. How much did you add to the middle? How did you cut it? Looking for a good method to get it square from the get-go.

      Thanks. we will check yours out when we get the chance. Don't worry to much about cutting the trailer straight although a sliding mitre saw would make life easier, as you will be able to hide an uneven cut when you lay in the new deck piece or even recover the whole deck. It's long gone now but measuring from the video we cut in 2/3 the length of the original deck (so if the deck was 30cm we added in 20cm roughly). Hope this helps.

      Thanks. It's a lot cheaper than a Carson, Tamiya or Wedico, that's for sure

    looks fantastic. how do bruder compare to tamiya kits.?

      Bruder stuff is very solid, it is designed to take the abuse of young children but it is no substitute to a carson or wedico full metal low loader, price aside.

    Hi what paint did you paint it in, and did you primer it first

    • @ModelMarvels
      @ModelMarvels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dave. The paint used was Plasti Kote super Gloss yellow and I think we used robotshop.com to purchase the actuator from.

    • @ModelMarvels

      Hi, yes it was primed first with standard car plastic primer 🙂

    Hi can you tell me what actuator you used please as in voltage and speed

    • @ModelMarvels
      @ModelMarvels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dave. Sorry for taking so long to reply. Had to watch the video to remind myself! In answer to your first question for the metal "chassis" you can use U shape aluminium for the Spine and L shape for the side rails (can't remember the size off the top of my head but you should be able to measure that if you have the base trailer - I don't have one currently. The deck was made using thick plasticard - again a quick measure should tell you the thickness you need.
      As to your second question the actuator was a frigelli L12-100-100-6-R which will plug straight into your receiver and work without needing its own power supply or speed control.
      Hope this helps.

    Hi, so did you make the ramps yourself? Could you send me links for the electric parts please?
    Thanks.

    • @ModelMarvels
      @ModelMarvels  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Although the trailer is supplied with ramps we made these out of plasticard sheet as they were missing. Its best to do a search for the "electric" parts as they can vary by install. Just search for rc linear actuators, I know bangood have them as well as robotshop; also keep an eye on ebay as a guy makes a captive rod version which he offers as a complete set designed for the trailer - its not something he has a constant stock of and I can't for the life of me remember the name. Hope this helps a bit.

      Hi. Only one trailer, then some l profile metal and plastic to stretch and fill. Try a search on ebay for Bruder low loader. hope this helps!
