  • This video was filmed in 2018 and released as part of my Knit Stitch Tunisian Socks crochet hampers. The hampers mentioned and the marketplace have now been discontinued, but I thought releasing this video as a general public tutorial it would still be of use and enjoyable for those who love Tunisian crochet! You will need a 5mm Tunisian crochet hook and 1 ball of 4ply/sport/baby yarn.

    Nice socks! 👌
This is a fantastic well explained tutorial. So easy to follow. I can't knit socks. Tunish crocheting works better for me. And it looks like knitted socks. Nice!
    Really beginner friendly.
Thank you for your time. 🥰

This will be my first sock. Planning on starting small making a pair for my 2 year old granddaughter. Thank you for a great video tutorial. You are a wonderful teacher. I appreciate you going slow and explaining how to use the concept of making socks this way and how to change the size. Your voice is peaceful and motivating. I am encouraged by you to take on this new challenge and increase my crochet skills. I have never done the tunisian crochet stitch before ,yet you make it very appealing to try. I knit and have tried making a knitted sock in the past, but now I believe I have found in your tutorial video the best way to actually complete a wearable pair of socks. Thank you for sharing your very valuable knowledge, talent & skills with me!

I’ve been binge watching your videos, arguing with myself because I have so many subscriptions, but you made me do it - I’m subscribing. I’ve made many socks: Circular Sock Machine (CSM), flat bed knitting, and hand knitting, but looks like I’ll enjoy this best because of it’s simplicity and the beautiful end product. Thank you.

I made the sock successfully - first one ever!
I should have looked into what materials to use/not use though because I used 100% cotton for the whole thing and even though it fits above my ankle I can't get my heel into it because it doesn't have any stretch lol.
Either make sure you use something stretchy for the part down to the heel or else measure the width around your heel, not above the ankle.
I have adapted my sock into a mitten/oven mitt because I worked too hard on this to just toss it. XD
Great tutorial though - Tunisian crochet is my new favorite way to crochet. Sure beats trying to knit in the round!

I like these socks. My first Tunisian crochet pair! Though I made the foot part too long, The heel is perfect :-) I don't like sewing up socks, but I'm a Knitter, of course I wouldn't :-) I did not use the whip Stitch, I used the mattress stitch which worked well, great first project!

I’ve had some sock yarn laying around in my stash for awhile, but since I don’t knit and some of the traditional crochet sock patterns I’ve tried haven’t come out very nice, I got really discouraged, but I do have Tunisian hooks and these look so nice and fairly easy to do!

I do like self striping yarn, but I'd probably do a solid for the heel and toe. I think it adds some interest and then I'm not bothered because the stripes don't match up in those 😉😁

I tripped over this sock version when I was looking at one of your other ones...I've crocheted my very first pair of socks, with sock yarn (someone else's pattern) but I wasn't quite happy with the heels...watching how you made your heel I got thinking that perhaps I could crochet the rest of a sock but use this version for the heel part...all I can do is give it a try and see if it works...I really don't like the idea of a seam running up the side of a sock..
