    I have never seen a pair of socks crocheted so easy, and they look knitted, so cool. I'm going to make these for sure as my 1st ever pair of socks. Thanks, Olga, and Merry Christmas. 🎄

    I have been watching crochet sock videos for a few months! I usually knit socks, but since I prefer to crochet, I wanted to try to crochet socks! Of all the videos I’ve watched, this one is the best! Your instructions are so clear, so easy to follow. Your communication style is, excellent! Thank you for the video and the pattern.

    I am almost finished with the first sock and am absolutely amazed at the ease of this pattern and the perfect fit that results from following it! I did work another increase round on row 10 by working 2 sc in the first st then 1 SC in the next 3 SC then an increase of 2 in the following st around. This gave me about 60 sts around. When I came to the heel I had to adjust the recommended sts due to my increase so instead of 30 sts I worked 36 in the 14 rows. Instead of attaching the yarn to st 10 I attached to 12 an worked 12 sts through out. I have wanted to make crazy, fun socks for myself for years but couldn't since I don't knit but thanks to you dear Olga I certainly can ❤😊 I advise everyone don't be afraid to try this pattern, believe me her instructions are spot on and if I can make perfect form fitting socks so can you!

    Thank you so much Olga for another wonderfully demonstrated crochet tutorial. I have tried to make socks in the past, but always gave up...too complicated. You make it seem so simple to do, with a simple sc stitch. They are beautiful. You have encouraged me to try again...Looking forward to wearing mine this winter.

    Hello. Sorry if I am asking but when you change the colour for the heel, on your sock you have 36 stitches or more? Because after you make 30 stitches with purple doesn’t look like you have left 6 stitches left but more , right?

  • @hwng320
    @hwng320 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    would this work well with thicker yarn ?

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but you'll have a small amount of total stitches. Start the same, but once you've reached the needed width, don't make any more stitch increases. Then for the heel, take about 2/3 of all the stitches. Hope this helps! Happy crocheting!

      Do more increases to make it wider, then add more rounds to make it longer. For the heel, you will use about 2/3 of all the stitches, but keep in mind that the amount you use for the heel must be divisible by 3, so adjust accordingly. I hope this helps!

    When teaching people should take a small break at the end of each round. We all cant crochet as fast as in the tutorial. Constantly putting the video on pause gets frustrating very fast. Searching for another video where i can learn to make socks.

      You’re going to have to pause regardless. Nobody wants to watch a five hour video in real time, it’s not a feasible nor ideal solution.
