서연 That shi sentence is written in ancient Chinese grammar nowadays we Chinese people don’t speak in that manner; it just shows how important tones are and people may not understand you if we just write pinyin and no characters. All the best with your Chinese learning! 😊

With Mandarin he sounded like he was reading poetry.. until he started reading in Cantonese LMAO I can't with the 'shi' tongue twisters; it's too hard to say it fast. That Cantonese tongue twister about that tall brother is my favourite tongue twister. I always say that because it's the only one I can hahaha
You guys picked up the hardest challenge. Even for native speakers we found its hard to follow through, unless we had some sort of training before hand.
