Greetings from Chile ,South America...!!! You have done a hard-out video explaining the shearing process..!!! Congrats ,mates!!!
Hello from little New Zealand! Thank you for commenting and we're glad you enjoyed our video and hope you learned something new! Thanks for watching 😊
Showed my grandchildren, told them you could give them a haircut haha

Happy new year to you!
How do you make that first cut? All these videos do well showing the "blows" but never explain how to hold the handpiece or how you position the comb relative to the sheep without injuring/knicking it?
Thanks for your comment! That's a good point! I guess we assume that you can tell that from the video but one explaining it with words and slower actions might be helpful! We'll try to make one next chance we get 😊
Shout out 🖐️🤠
Hi! 👋 Here's a video for you to laugh at, how we're feeding out on a dry stock farm, bit slower to your feed out set up!

@@RealNewZealandAdventures happy to watch it🤠
Approximately $600 a day 🐑💰
Sounds about right.
What brand of tool is this?
It's a Heiniger handpiece
Depending on the overhead, that sounds like some good money
Shearing is good money but you only shear once a year. Unless you're lined up for multiple properties to keep it going and spread it out you better be good with a budget.
Hi

Вы нажимаете на заднюю ногу ради кондроля? когда давите в это место
Hi, unsure exactly which part you mean, please give us the time it happens in the video and will have a look
Доброе утро 1.13 на сколько я видел раньше в некоторых видео если овце нажимать в определенное место в суставе нога выпрямляется. Я прав?
@semm_69 I think I understand what you are asking - when the shearer does the blows on the leg before doing the undermine, his left foot goes back a bit after the crutching, and the sheep is resting mostly on the shearers other leg. You are correct - the hand presses into the flank to straighten the leg to get nice clean lines for the handpiece to follow, and to stop the sheep from getting cut. The shearer doesn't need to be kicking his left foot forward for this.
$4.50 a head now
Is that in Australia?
@@RealNewZealandAdventures yeah. 1.35+ usually for crutching. I was getting 1.70 in nsw
I get $80 per sheep in California.

Gave a thumbs down… due to the fact that you were too aggressive and it lost its satisfaction. 0/10.
Thumbs down to your comment! The sheep feels satisfied after having the wool removed and that's all that matters along with getting the job done quickly and efficiently so the sheep can get back out into the paddock to eat grass again. Remember these are not tame animals and the specific way a sheep is shorn is to ensure their comfort for the whole process.
