Tiger shark eyes are very sensitive, so nictitating membranes can cover them for protection.

I've had plenty of encounters as a surfer and i've reacted in erratic ways before and I never got bit. I was literally walking on water to get away. Never attacked.

I have four children who hate bees, whenever we go to the park and one stings them they try to kill them all. It's like sharks , when one attacks we go into a frenzy and try to kill them. I remind my children, you can't go into a bees territory and get mad if it stings you. You can't go into the ocean and get mad when a shark attacks. They are all apart of the ecosystem and valuable, without one our whole system is thrown off
Without bees, we don't have food. Maybe this will help them to understand why they should not kill them.

For years shark week was on the whole week of my birthday Aug 14 unknown year🤣 and now its in July n they show a bunch of fake make believe hallmark movies instead of all sharks all real! Discovery channel ruined it, I don’t wanna see Phelps swim against a great white! Either win more gold or get eaten wud be better ☮️❤️🤗

If you've spent some time in the ocean swiming, surfing, playing, you probably had a positive encounter with a shark...you just didn't know it. They're not the savage beast so many think they are.
I freedived a couple years back with some huge Wobbegong sharks off a small boat with my mate just off the coast of North Stradbroke Island. Swimming in and around underwater rock caves and other structure. Lovely sharks but one straight up tried to rip my nips off when I casually patted it on the head. I was about 6-7 metres deep and swimming alongside this massive Wobbegong shark under this rock ledge and it turned on me so quick that I had to grab it and hold it off me. It settled down right after that and shot off along the sea floor but he really didn't like to be interacted with. I resurfaced just fine and went right back to fishing but it bruised the hell out of my chest. freedived with them some more and found some other's camouflaged on a sandy outcrop. The big ones were really majestic and chill. That's my only close up interaction with sharks outside of shark fishing along the inland side of the Brisbane river or my mate nearly getting his fingers bitten off by a bullshark while fresh water fishing on a kayak pontoon. Ripped the big catfish he was trying to get off the hook in half too. Love sharks, I totally respect them as predators and Bull Sharks under a metre taste really good too :)

I know a lot about sharks to that tigershark you saw it I knew it right away I was a tiger shark because when it opened its mouth I could see it serrated teeth tiger sharks teeth have a distinctive marking and the stripes on the tiger shark was very clear
