Those are indeed normal for a Filipino. Filipino parents in general, teach their young ones these basic skills early in life. And it doesn't whether you're a male or female. What you will hear from most parents is 'you better learn these skills early coz I'm not going to these chores for you forever'. And the usual hierarchy is you learn cleaning in general(clean your room, the house, the table after meals and the backyard), next is to wash and iron your clothes, the cooking part is usually when you're around 15 or older(more on food prep like peeling, chopping, cubing and so on). So when a Filipino(male or female) reaches 18 yrs of age, it is expected that you know the basics and that you can look after yourself. So yeah, in other words, we we're already being FORCED by our parents to do the chores you mentioned at an early age, and we got through it... Which makes doing these chores effortless if we are going to do it for a loved one. It also makes us look back and be thankful that our parents who taught us early, coz we can now make sure not to embarrass ourselves and be able to take better care of our loved ones.
Honestly Not all Filipino guys are like that 😂 , some maybe but not all, it's just you are lucky you found a Filipino guy who's loving, caring and thoughtful.
Maybe due to hot weather in the Philiipines that we're used to bath more than once in a day..and everyday we wear newly washed clothes when going to office or school..its just normal in the Phil.
