  • PMEGP Homestay Scheme implemented through Tourism & DCIC.
    - Rural Bank is the nodal bank for this scheme.
    - The beneficiaries will get a 10lakh loan, 2 room set with an attached bathroom. They need to apply through DCIC
    - 70% Subsidy( 35% -Tourism & 35% - DCIC)
    - In West GaroHills District - 7 sanctions received, some have started construction, some have applied for renovation and some for furnishing.
    - In Meghalaya the availability for applying is 600 and from WGH alone 300+ (345) had applied.
    No of applications received at agency = 345
    No of applications forwarded to Banks = 221
    No of applications sanctioned by Banks = 10
    No of applications rejected by Banks. = 08
    - The District Administration, Tourism Dept., Nodal Bank & DCIC visited the sites of the beneficiaries to know about the utilisation of funds, Work progress.
    - DC WGH, Swapnil Tembe along with other Govt. officials & Bank Officials visited other locations like Aloe Vera picnic spot, Niwatram and interacted with the Nokmas and the villagers.
    1 beneficiary at Bibragre,
    1 beneficiary at Sasatgre,
    4 beneficiaries at Tura,
    1 beneficiary at Chibragre.
    Each beneficiary received 3.5lakhs as 1st instalment of the 10 lakhs.
