Can anyone help!! I had the tripod set up with the 3 legs, and now I can’t remove it because just the legs come out but not the part that’s attached to it. I wish I can explain better, hopefully someone understands!! Example: 2:40 when he deploys it.
Oh! The buckle mount is a great addition. We've been using the original 3-way, but the finger mount is a bit of a pain (especially with the mediamod) when trying to switch between the 3way and the car window mount. This will make it much easier! It's going on list now.
The older version felt a bit fragile like the plastic could easily snap if it hit the ground the wrong way. Does the 2.0 feel more sturdier when fully extended?
I would like to see a field test with this new 3-way as my old versions are unusable as selfie sticks due to every turn, every change of hands results in vibration noise from my hands to the camera's microphones. Not a problem if you're using external microphones or don't change your stance. I've tried all sorts of modifications using foam and gaffer tape and still can't stop the problem so I am not buying this version until someone proves it doesn't transfer hand vibration sounds to the camera.
The go pro max grip would probably be your better choice. The problem with this if there’s any sleep bends in the pole they will become visible in the 360 video
The tripod actually pops out from that base and you have additional mounting options. I wondered why it was so wobbly when you used it the way you did in your video and discovered that. I don’t read manuals so I’m sure they went over it somewhere.
You are thinking of the original version of this product. The new 2.0 version he is showing has an integrated tripod that no longer pops out from the base.
Why? The quick release plate attaches to the camera with a thumbscrew, so if you for some reason don't want to take advantage of the QR, you can just leave it on the buckle and instead use the thumbscrew. You're comment is kind of funny, because lots of people complained there wasn't a QR before.
@@JonS , I get the quick release. But, I don’t see a quick release that converts to screw on option. I have more screw on mounts than the buckle. Just asking for options for conversion. 😁👍
@@mrheng562 You don't need a converter. The standard quick release clips attach to the camera two fingers using a thumbscrew. If wanted you can just remove the camera using that screw. Am I missing something?
@@JonS , no. I get what you're saying. But, I mean the ballhead, or neck in this case, is connected directly as a buckle. Another version of a screw on type would be appreciate. Or, like mention earlier, a converter that is buckle mount, but have a screw adapter. Does that make sense? LOL
Lol the go pro hero 10 releases today and they jacked the price up to 89 along with the batteries which are the same for the hero 9 and 10. Ugh. I literally should've bought yesterday. Thought it would be cheaper since it would be older lol
Thanks for the review! I'm planning to buy the 3-Way 2.0, but I don't have the mouth to attach my GoPro... If it's not included in the package can I buy it separately?? And if yes, please send da link! Thank yaa
Why not? You can use the thumbscrew to attach the Snap Mount adapter to a GoPro QR plate (the side he has on the camera) and slide that on to the buckle.
i almost had a panic attack trying to figure out how to attach the camera to the tripod then i realized it was a little rubber flap stoping me from inserting it, i feel so stupid 😭
Maaaaaaate good video and great review. That said you can't use _G'day_ as you are not authorised to used it under the official Australian blokes, sheilas, drongo's, dingoes, donger's and bogan's act of 1953. Any further unauthorised use of the aforementioned word will see you extradited to Australia for a swift flogging before being deported again. Cheers mate.
OH MY GOSH.....HOW DO YOU SLIDE THE STUPID THING ONTO THE MOUNT????? You just put it on there like we woyld know what you are doing to get it on there.......😣😣😣😣😣😣

Never watched a video so early, but most definitely like this newer tripod design, it now actually has a functional one unlike the previous design
Only one question: does it float? It’s better then the NU Bear tripod? Or can you make a comparison? Thank you
Thank you. How do we place it with the media mod?
I use the 3 way all the time. May have to upgrade.
Can you please send a link for the buckle mount? I just got an used hero 9 that doesn’t come with a buckle.
Had ball joint on El grande, actually had 2 El Grandes, on both ball joint broke off, no replacement parts. So why they are putting this and on 3way

How will it work with media mod?
Can the joints be disconnected? For example I only want to use half of it and connect it to the handlebar mount.
If you had to choose between this new 3 way or the Maz grip what would you choose.... for everyday travelling, thanks in advance
Is the GoPro pass thru door a charging port ?
The older version felt a bit fragile like the plastic could easily snap if it hit the ground the wrong way. Does the 2.0 feel more sturdier when fully extended?
hello, could you provide where to find buckles fit, for the new 3-way 2.0 mount?
You didn't show how to deploy the tripod!
Hello, has anyone done a weight comparison between the older 3-way and the 3-Way 2.0? I can't find any good info on their weights
Where can I get the buckle mount from?
anybody knows if i can attach standard camera shoe on this to be able to use iphone pro / mini?
Would u be able to do overhead shots with this?

Wonder if there'e a way to mount a regular POS / mirrorless camera on this ... it'd then make an excellent travel tripod, no?
Wow! this new three-way selfie stick looks another innovative tool. Good to see it with you. Keep up the good content. Namaste
dude, your intro is so nice lol peaceful as hell
I was looking to buy this and was wondering if I could use a hero 7 black with it
Yes indeed you can
Do you think they’ll be releasing the hero 10 this year?
For sure in September/October it’s a big anniversary 10th...
thank you i want to buy one so it is good to know what it can
What is the weight?
GOD now I got to go buy that now lol great video thanks for all your hard work
Lol, know that feeling
Just ordered mine, I can’t wait!
This looks really cool, I might scoop one up for my channel 🤘😎
Is it rigid enough when extended with an appropriate adapter to support something like the zv1?
Thank you for sharing as I was looking at both but I will getting 2.0
Can it go in the ocean?
Can this be used under water as well?
hey shawn have you had issue taking the 3 way out in the cold? mine got brittle and broke on the joints.
No I have not. That is very interesting I would definitely contact GoPro they’re usually good about replacing them in those types of situations
@@AirPhotography yeah i did they will replaced, i hope it dont break on cold.
Thanks for all your tips and tricks really appreciate you
Hopefully this means new cameras soon.. I’m waiting for the Max 2
Such a helpful review! Thanks 😊
Great review. Definitely grabbing one. Mahalo!
I would love to see a new elgrande.
How would you compare this with the bear grip 4-1 from your other videos? Which one would you recommend ?
i wish someone would make a video comparing the new and the old one
3 way vs Ulanzi MT-16 which would say is best
I haven’t used the Ulanzi version so I can’t say for certain. But they look to be very similar
Awesome review man!Thank you for sharing it with us!!Every gopro user needs that !!😊🙏🙏👌
Would you recommend this for the max?
The go pro max grip would probably be your better choice. The problem with this if there’s any sleep bends in the pole they will become visible in the 360 video
@@AirPhotography That is what I thought. That’s a shame I really like this one

damn it’s been like 8 years since the first 3-Way
Wow Dynamite accessory for any GoPro or camera that would be perfect for my osmo action... thank you Sean... for another excellent review!
Mikey
May I know the font that you used on the intro "Air Photography" thanks. Great review sir
Thank you for another excellent review!
I’m a bit bummed that they didn’t give a screw option instead of the buckle mount. :(

Nice review thx Shawn.
Is there any other new 2.0 GoPro Gear
What time it’s?
Time to upgrade LOL
COOL VIDEO
Thanks for the great video AIR PHOTOGRAPHY! These are some great upgrades to one of my favorite GOPRO accessories 💯📢!
will it float on water? thanks great info as always.
Unfortunately no this is not a floating hand grip. That would’ve been really nice though
@@AirPhotography Is it waterproof/ Can it go into water at all?
Yes you can go into the water with it. However if you are in salt water it’s a good idea to rinse it with fresh water when you’re done
@@AirPhotography Understood, thank you!
The old 3way tripod like you said was horrible! This new 2.0 is sweet ill have to grab one! Do you use those magnetic mounts at all?
Does it float
No
I'm really interested in that new pass-through door... even thou I don't have a Hero9.... I'm still rocking my Hero7🤣
Same love my 7
Waiting for the 10?
Hero7 still rocks
I dropped mine in a lake.....
can I use this underwater tho?
Hola es la versión mejorada del anterior me gusta.... gracias x tu explicación 🇦🇷
Looks good, thx 4 the infos. Is anybody here that knows the weight of the new 3-way?
Purchased based on this video. Thank you!
So helpful!
I can't make it work on my max 360....!
Awesome... Great Review 👍

@@JonS you’re correct. I just need to by a few more adapters.
Good information
