Hi, In have one of these and I was trying to put a tail pad on it, but because where the leash is (on the side) I can't put it as far backwards to just go over the back fin. Is this an issue? thanks
I had this issue on a different board...and, yes, it's a problem because you want the pad as far back on the board as possible. I cut off some of the pad's kicktail/ramp to make pad fit over the fins properly.
I previously was right a 6'2" T&C Sharpe but just snapped and and am looking at the 5'11" Torq mod fish but I can do some sharp back turns and improving on my front turns. I just keep getting thrown off by the "beginner to intermediate" label as I feel I'm on the upper end of intermediate and worried this board won't be good enough for my needs. A second opinion would be appreciated
So I surf green waves pretty easily now with 7.0 softtops, starting to do my first lil turns. I have the chance to buy a Torq Mod Fish 7'2 ! Would this be a good option or maybe a bit to big?
Hey there, by the sounds of things this would be a good option but really would depend on your weight and height and what sort of waves you are going to be surfing. i.e. beach break or point break etc
Hi. I'm 93kg and I guess I'm a beginner/intermediate surfer. I used to surf years ago but was only comfortable with standing and sometimes getting some unbroken waves. I'm really wanting a board tat I can catch easily with. Would this be a good option or should I look at a mini mal or long board?
@@shore Thanks for the reply! I actually ended up getting the Torq Big Boy 6'10 as that's what the local surf shop recommended, I'm very happy with it!
awesome explanation!

Yeah

Well how did it go?
Longboard!!!
That's a swallow tail. There's no such thing as a fish tail. A real fish board is short thick and wide with two fins and a swallow tail.
I'm a 5,8" 70kgs beginner/intermediate on a 7,2" mini mal at the moment, which size in this board would you recommend?
Thanks so much.
Hey Ricky, Where are you going to be surfing most. i.e. what sort of waves and how would you describe your fitness level? Cheers
