For the first 2 minutes it looks like a guy trying to find a cube he is able to solve. "No, that one's too hard.... nope, can't do that one either.... no, too hard... impossible... nope, can't... no..."
Only on TH-cam do you hear comments like, "oh that last one wasn't solved" or "he was looking under the blindfold" People these days need to do some research before they start making ridiculous claims.
I always love the start of this video. Not only was he aiming for an amazing MBLD WR, but he was also aiming to become the first person to decapitate someone with a single sheet of laminated paper used as a projectile! Beast. And the suits pretty sweet also.
XJay SixtyNine The description says that he was solving for 21 minutes and 31 seconds, and she has to start holding the paper in front of his face when he starts solving.
I am honestly more impressed with him carrying 41 cubes around to the comp than the solve /s Much love Marcin, I found your channel 2 days ago and now I technically know how to solve bld, which is awesome. You're a real inspiration for me
Deialekt El'Pe Im assuming when you typed your comment that you swapped ‘it’ with ‘is’ or you’re just a big biscuit boy who trolls people on the internet
TH-cam is amazing. You see a guy solve 41 cubes BF in 54:14 minutes, and yet someone says "The last one wasnt solved" Like: OOO its not solved, so the previous 40 cubes doesnt count anymore... WTF is wrong with you xD. Being a +2 Seconds aside, lets pretend that the last one wasnt "solved" like you guys say. WHO THE FUCK CARES... what do you have to say about the other 40? NOTHING cause he solved them perfectly. And there is other kind of toxic ppl, the ones who say he cheats... i mean... yea he cheats, in an official competition, he somehow managed to see thru the blindfold, and to the paper too, and nobody noticed it.... then dont admire his cubing skills, admire his cheating skills... You guys are trully amazing :P
You sir. Are not an idiot. Unlike a lot of people. One more thing about the cheating thing is that if you pause the video you can see he does edges first (sometime corners) which is a blindfolded method. He isn't doing layer by layer.
This is proof that superhumans combined with aliens that had sex with grapes that squirted on terminator that got mad and decided to solve a rubiks cube once are real
OMG. 41 cubes in less than an hour and blinded. I cannot even solve 1 in an hour (without watching the solutions). This is really great, how is it possible that you can remember so many different colors on the cubes? Wauw.
I like to come back to this video every now and then just to put into perspective how far ahead Maskow was back in the day. His record stood undefeated for almost 5 years and was in Top 10 up until late 2022 (It's 16th at the time of writing this comment)
Hey Marcin, I don't know if you'll understand this but maybe you could try to do 2x2-7x7 blindfolded solves all at once. I am already impressed about how good you are and I am learning how to solve a 3x3 blindfolded. So far I have solved one. Good luck in your next solves.
UrbanJackJr read the regs: for MBLD only if time without penalties is less than time limit, than it's not a DNF, even if it's over 1h with time penalties
I understand how to solve blindfolded. What I'm wondering is does he have a full picture in his mind that he remembers, it he just remembering a string of letters, is he remembering movements of his arms (like you see in the sped up memo, etc.) I know most people use sounds or images but just wondering what Maskow would say he is visualizing.
I believe (not 100% sure) that he uses a memory palace. It's where you take a place like your house and assign each set of images to a room/object, so that you can remember them all.
matejmuzatko I'm impressed by your hitchhikers guide knowledge, not many people know that. But what you have typed is true in base 13 if you're interested :)
Anyone know to make that breath before you start to memorize?it is a trick or something to better capture the images?Thank you...PD: high record ... I think unbeatable today
That is incredible, my hats off to you brother. I can memorize 2 A4 pages of individual characters (uni exam cheat sheets for acronyms.. each character represents the first character of a word in an acronym) but it takes me 3 or 4 days (15-20 hours) to do so, AND i still need to arrange it into a phonetic (i memorize the phonetic... and then what each letter of the phonetic represents.. is a word... reproduced fully in an exam I end up with four or five pages of essentials). But, THAT, what you did, is god tier compared. awesome. *takes off hat*
Because WCA regulation. It required only a single turn to complete the solve. He got a 2 second penalty. If it required more than 1 move to complete the solve, he would've received a DNF for the cube, and 40/41 meaning he solved 40 out of 41 cubes.
For the first 2 minutes it looks like a guy trying to find a cube he is able to solve. "No, that one's too hard.... nope, can't do that one either.... no, too hard... impossible... nope, can't... no..."

Do you understand what that weird fast breathing in the beginning was? i think he was worried about failing or something.
It was to give brain enough oxygen not bcs of nerves

I love the intensity of these multibld videos. It must be really cool to see in person even if it is very long.

I wonder what it'd be like to sit there holding a piece of paper in front of a guy's face for 20 minutes.

Marcin Mastykarz It doesn't matter. It's not solved. However: It's just a +2. So it still counts with the penalty.
he moved it at the end so it isn't solved, but only +2 solve
it sucks because he solved it but the corner was hit by the cube next to it as he was setting it down which cause the side to turn
To me, even doing that without a blindfold is fucking amazing.
Music reminds me of pokemon LOL
