- While taking a stroll in Sotenbori, a young man calls out to Majima and asks him for help, and it is only then that Majima sees that the man is without pants. The man tells Majima about a Bontan hunter, a person who apparently steals the pants of people.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Ryuji remembers this fight with Majima and knows he is hella strong.
That and he knows his true personality, not the Mad Dog persona but the real Majima to what they described being "The Straight and Narrow" type of guy. He knew that if they actually mess with him further and straight up go to war with him officially, he'll drop the act and will finish them off personally and pull another Dojima Family incident. Pretty sure at that point, the Omi knew what happened with the whole Empty Lot and Dojima Family incidents and Ryuji has every right to be wary of Majima.
Ryuji said something like “pick a fight with a no bullshit guy like him? Never in a million years.” Ryuji knew they couldn’t have used a lame ass excuse such as the murder of an omi officer to pick the fight with majima. And if they did force the fight, majima wouldn’t hold back like kiryu would.
To think the dragon of Kansai would be a pants stealer.

Well you are kind of right. In Majima's chapter, Ryuji doesn't even want to pick a fight with him despite Majima being in their HQ. He even warned the other lieutenants too.
I mean, it was fair. Ryuji don't want to pick a fight with Majima and Majima warned Kiryu to not lose against him or else his pants would be stolen.

When I accidentally started this sub quest, I was pretty reluctant since I had other matters to do so I ignored it. By sheer chance, I accidentally bumped into Ryuji's part of the mission but I didn't actually know it was him until I began to notice the striking similarities. Once the kids came up to him and called him Ryuji however, I was shooketh.

It’s really sweet how Ryuji was beating highschool kids while also helping his classmates despite not knowing about it. Even if he may not look it, he really does help people in his own, indirect way (especially since he didn’t even know lol.)
Truly deserving of the Golden Dragon.
I think he’s just using that as a cover for his selfless actions since his Yakuza upbringing teaches him to be stoic. When Kiryu was injured he helped him out too, partly because he wanted a fair fight and partly because he hates dishonorable schemers and posers.

Mostly because it's his most versatile fighting style, after all, it's the only style where he can grab enemies, and it has more heat actions than the other styles. But I do try to use other styles sometimes.

@@DragonWagonzXL by the time you actually fight him Daigo is somewhat older than Ryuji was here. Ryuji is only 12 here but you don't fight Daigo until Yakuza 2 which is 18 years later (and regardless of how old Daigo is in 0 any age + 18 is older than 12)
