So glad to see this one reviewed. Great knife, especially at that price point. Love the mod work as well. Would have gladly watched the anodizing portion. Thanks!
RWL34 and PMC27 are proprietary to Damasteel, so I'm gonna call shenanigans on that, especially in that price range. If you're lucky it's a 9cr/10cr mix. That's what you see from Civivi and other more budget focused brands.
Considering the non damascus version is 10cr15mov, I bet they're getting the "Chinese Damasteel" that QSP labels their damascus as. I think they're playing a word game and saying 10cr and 9cr are analogous to those Damasteel proprietaries.
@ not for that money I don’t, considering it’s proprietary I doubt they even know how to do the mix. It looks just like the Damascus that Kansept and all of them use. Good stuff anyway. The etching is impressive.
Definitely not rwl34/pmc27 (damasteel)! The very first thing I pulled up said it is a 8cr blend damascus which is nowhere near as good, let alone powder formed steel
@@piotrklimaszewski8250 my wallet mainly. At that price, I’m not seeing as a possibility. Unless profit is an afterthought, and what are the odds of that? I’m certain, but that doesn’t mean anything. I’m often wrong, quite often honestly.
Another way to do that pivot thing is to close the knife and squeeze it a bit in a vise, pushing the blade into the handle. It basically does the same thing but it's putting putting pressure on the pivot by levering the blade off the stop pin. You can get a lot of pressure that way, I have used it along with heating the pivot with a soldering iron to remove he pivot from a knife that had a free spinning pivot that had red loctite on it.
Appreciate the pivot trick. Definitely will be trying it
These customs are badass man!

@0zmose it does seem super unlikely... Could be legitimate Chinese made equivalent... But even that seems unlikely at the price.

Thanks for that 2 sided pivot trick. That will help so much!
Mine is gritty as well and detent is pretty soft
I love RIHE designs. Two sun has a lot of them and I’ve liked most of them. It’s definitely a 10CR powder mix but it’s nice.
@@BrandonGavin_EDC you don't think it's budget Damasteel as claimed? I wonder if LTK has tested it?

@@prybarknives It would be nice if someone tested it
that non captured pivot idea is brilliantly simple!
@alanr3577 thank you sir! Only hundreds of times doing it stupid ways, to figure it out.
One of my favorite new $58 knives. Amazing action. I need you to do my clip like that ! Please
Know where to order one?
Cleaned up nice. :))
Where can i get one? Its pretty nice.
@@MichaelN-m6n ebay or Ali express
Nice knife . I own a few RiHe Design Knives
Did you get it on ebay or ali or where? Looks good for the price.
@Man_Ray78 like 82 on ebay. Probably a tad less on ali.
Where is the link to this?
@GunGuy258 sorry, it's on ebay... link probably won't work. I'll put in a search tag.
Rwl34 and pmc27 is patented by Damasteel and the blank alone would cost more than what it costs if it's Damasteel soooo absolutely BS.
I think they're playing fast and loose with the term because some Chinese knives are using a 10cr and 9cr mix and branding it as "Chinese Damasteel".
Great trick to unscrew the pivot, cool. Very attractive piece

You got a link to this knife? I can't find it.
Definitely not damasteel is most certainly a given here.
Where do you get the certainty that it's not damasteel?

$80? Everyone knows about it now it's going for $180 on the auctions 😆. Edit: the zirconium models are**
@DeerUNIT42 the super plain one is probably under 80 though... And check Ali, supposedly cheaper there.
