The Kershaw Intellect has always been my favorite knife design. Perfect balance of form and function. Wish they would bring it back and do variations of it. I would buy a dozen.
As usual, great review, Thank you. I love the direction Kershaw and ZT are going. I have the Launch, Cryo and an older ZT 0566CF...But, today, yes today, I bought the new released Livewire Reverse Tonto OTF, with Two-Tone, Magnacut steel. I can't wait till it gets here. You guys have the best prices.
ZT slowwwwly moving back to their roots. I like it! Finally not that futuristic bullshit they’ve been doing for a couple years.. WE WANT OVERBUILT ZTs. It’s that simple! Ps- kershaw, keep this guy around. He’s great at his job
Why not wish for something more like one of the 'S series' CPM steels? I'll take any of them in the Iridium - S30V, S45VN, S90V. Heck, how about the rarely seen S60V, which is super under-rated; yeah, sign me up!
@@soupistasty5because that would really raise the price, I also wish they went with 14c, it’s my favorite budget steel. They do offer the iridium in Magnacut, it’s an auto.
@@chrisjosekuehl Yes, and also no. Of course, the higher priced 'premium' PM steels would raise the price... But, when dealing with knives of this calibre, the cost of labor, machining, even the whole design process itself factor far, far more into the cost you pay at retail; over the raw material costs. Talk to any industry 'insiders' be they company reps, actual machinists, etc... they'll tell you the same.
Kershaw/ZT is killing it! Love these designs! 🦅🇺🇸👏🏻👍🏻🔥🔥🔥🤌🏻That new ZT auto, and the new ZT fixed blade are money!! Plus the leather sheeth and being able to add a tek lock is superb! Great job Kershaw/ZT!
I have got to say that Kershaw has won the come-back award for designs and value. i remember watching these new knives vids from maybe 5 years ago and literally was thinking they'd lost their way. But now... just great knife after great knife for prices that make me feel like i fully got my $ worth. $80 for the Broadside for G10 and D2 is a bit meh, like the design though. I don't understand it's price compared to the Kindred which is D2 and Aluminum at $60. BTW, absolutely love the ZT 512 but think they've missed the mark as far as value proposed for priced asked. I'd pay $220 all day long for 20cv and micarta but ZT went the BM direction on that one. The Kindred is my next Kershaw buy.
I have the Livewire 9000BLK I edc and i love it so much. The all black on black just looks so classy. This 2 tone blade is definitely pretty sick though.
This is 1 of the greatest videos I ever seen y'all do. With some of the greatest valued knives available. Also industry leading development no tell what they b catching up to in a few years. Integral?
The uridium is so popular for 1 major reason. It feels like a $200 knife, but its only $55. I think less people care about ultra crazy blade steel on a pocket knife. Which the data shows. As long as the steel is above 8cr13mov
With all the obession with "Operator" LARPing, wanting gorilla grips to punch the tip through a car door, some of us need a blade that isn't obtrusive in the pocket . It's what ever the fashion of the market demands, but the pocket knife was a fully useful object that didn't have a 3 inch blade or poked you in the belly when you bent over, for about 120 years. Just a bit of push-back.
I find it super weird that the normal iridium has a recessed pocket clip and the high-end US-made automatic does not. Come to think of it...none of the launch series have recessed clips. Deff unfortunate cost cutting
Unfortunately kershaw can’t get away from D2. Then on top of that they want $90+ for it. What a joke. Way too late to the party kershaw. Any smart knife guy or gal ain’t paying $90+ for D2.
I've already got a Flytanium BEEF and the new Tenable Kryo just came in the mail today-- both fill the shoes of the Kershaw Broadside, and for under $70. The Tenable uses 14C28N steel too, better suited for me here in Hawaii. I also have an Iridium, but I bought the topographical scaled version that comes with a 14C28N blade. Hopefully Kershaw offers the Broadside with a more attractive steel and price... *EDIT* And CJRB will be releasing the Kestrel soon, another larger folder that has lines similar to the Broadside, and likely equipped with their AR-PM9 steel.
95% junk. Can not believe people hoard all of this. What a waste. And the comment about the fixed blade where the leather sheath is the highlight 😂 OMG
The design team at Kershaw deserve a lot of credit in the last few years.
You are spot on @bronco1199
That marbled carbon fiber is just great . What a Bel - Air !!!!!
The Kershaw Intellect has always been my favorite knife design. Perfect balance of form and function. Wish they would bring it back and do variations of it. I would buy a dozen.
Kershaw is great ! You guys have a great working chemistry.
19:08 “forearm twerk” 😂😂😂
WOW! Kershaw killing it lately. Good time to be into knives!
Kershaw beautiful knives ! ZT 0044 the best Titanium scales .

I'd like to see them come out with a mini Iridium in 14C28N

We have our 1st hilarious moment for the 'Year in Review - Highlights of 2025' video
I like that Bel Air and Broadside

Nice!
Dawnstar love it. I have it in my shopping cart already great weight to length rat ratio no ring perfect
that belair is a sweet look.🎉🎉
Every yeah I hope ZTwill release ZT products of old

Livewire is so good, cool new blade shape

I absolutely love the leek trout lol something different instead of all black tacticool.
Can we get some texture on the scales of the iridium please.
Kershaw please give us a duralock blur and duralock versions of other flagship models
Overall, good models 👍
My daughter would like the dawnstar!

It’s ZT’s first auto…
The ZT 0610ST: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?
Yeah. That was 2018 no?
2008
Will that ZT Sheath work with an esee 3 just wondering
I love my titanium zt's
Iridium XL please, about the same size as an BenchMade Adamas
That's exactly what I would like to see, a 9+ inch overall length would be great.
Can we get a Bel Air in Sandvik 14c28n?
D2 doesn’t deserve the hate it gets tho I do like 14c better they are abt the same overall performance wise. D2 may corrode easier.
D2 does rust easier, also it is harder to sharpen. I still love it though@@jimmylarge1148
I find it super weird that the normal iridium has a recessed pocket clip and the high-end US-made automatic does not. Come to think of it...none of the launch series have recessed clips. Deff unfortunate cost cutting
Man this is brutal.
Why do they keep saying karambit when clearly it’s a hawk bill?
Karambit is not a blade shape.
Is it made in America? Or is it assembled in America?
Kershaw has been on point these past few years & I have been loving it & buying them up in return. Looking for 2025 to add several into my collection.
Kershaw killing it cant wait to get my dawnstar today in the mail. Thanks blade hq and kershaw.
Kershaw, give us the Launch series without the faux guards.
pizzA!
@WN_Byers yes
lol Nobody wants to say “8cr13mov” anymore
Wish ZT wasn't an office carry line.
cool
I dont understand making a karambit without a finger hole.
Only came here for the trout
Not many people are using titanium and carbon on there handles.
Huh 😮
“New knives for 2024”
“If it doesn’t cut. What’s the point.” 😈
512 should’ve been manual
this was a tough watch 😭 cool stuff though!!
Keep it USA 🇺🇸 made
second comment, amazing stuff
ZT is a huge disappointment just for the fact they charge so much for basically an upgraded Kershaw
WTF... the ZT 0044 has that crappy painted bent over clip...? On a $340 knife? Might make me skip this one.
Bro this thumbnail. Please.
Day 15 of asking for a free Tom Brown Tracker knife
The Dawnstar will rip through one cardboard box and be dull 😂💀
Unfortunately kershaw can’t get away from D2. Then on top of that they want $90+ for it. What a joke. Way too late to the party kershaw. Any smart knife guy or gal ain’t paying $90+ for D2.

95% junk. Can not believe people hoard all of this. What a waste. And the comment about the fixed blade where the leather sheath is the highlight 😂 OMG
Cool opinion dude
Clown comment good going knob
To be fair a sheath like that could easily go for $200+ from a sheath maker.
Imagine watching a knife video and then commenting with this sort of negativity. Just don't watch the videos if you are just going to hate. Real lame.
That comment is 95% junk. Other 5% is garbage.
I found a leek in a river and it kicked off my knife collecting hobby. ultem livewire is my most recent acquisition. zt0512 may be my next
Thank God iam a knife collector
