@@brycewiborg8095 Just made it. We got a quarter inch in the last 10 minutes. We actually needed a little. We got missed by all the thunderstorms that we were supposed to get this week. Some places not far away got an inch on Wednesday and we didn't get enough to make the driveway damp.
We were going to square bale today but that plan kind of fell through.... tomorrow is supposed to be real nice so we'll get it then. Just a little light rain here so far. You timed the rain just right.... Thanks Will.
@@brenterickson1695 I hope you don't get much more rain, you should get it off tomorrow. I'm coming back from Virginia right now, I made Gina drive. There's a dandy of a thunderstorm chasing us home.
I would have never guessed you baled hay today. Good thing you baled it when you did. I thought about cutting some Thursday, I'm glad I didn't. It rained here too and it wouldn't have been dry yet.
@@pinesedgefarm1155 I should have baled all week but we had a good rain chance everyday. Turned out that we got nothing everytime. I figured to chance this since I would like to get done someday. It worked. Barely.
Faster, Faster!!!! You're getting more done than we are... Moved irrigation, worked on a saddle tree. It's done, watching paint dry. Trying to get the little Freightliner running.. filters were full of water 🙄🤬 Now Becky wants me to do other 💩, instead of picking up bales.. yay ......
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin I had ideas of a nice easy baling day. Maybe haul a couple loads home when we got done. 🤣 There's a genuine thunderstorm going on now. ⛈️
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 Good morning Gary.👍 I sometimes wonder why people haven't posted anything only to find out a week later that I just missed it. 🤣
Its about 4° cooler then yesterday at 84° but its just humid enough still enough and sunny enough to be miserable working on fence and water line. My arms are like jello from digging only 3 post holes, but its damp down 3 feet😊
@@burrridgefarms We were 84 yesterday and 64 right now. We are having sporadic thunderstorms. I don't envy you fencing in the heat. 40 degrees is good fencing weather.
That’s stressful watching blue/black sky coming your way. Anybody who thinks farming isn’t exciting hasn’t ever raced a storm. No filming just baling😅 as the rain drops start. Nice win. Make bales for next year’s drought…
@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn You are right on with having some good carry over for drought years. I had three bales left in '22 when I put the cows on pasture. That's too close. I have guys at work who don't understand why in the world I do this. It's a lot of little things, like just beating the rain. 👍🙂
Great timing. Sunny, and humid down here. Thank you Will.

That is how ii is here. Good hay year and lots of it for sale cheaper than what it costs to have someone else bale it.
