It truly takes your breath away. His entire United career carried some of my favorite memories of the club. Absolute football legend. We love you Becks. ❤
Totally agree. What I loved about him was that he always gave everything. He was normally expecting to score from dead ball situations and the goalies very often just stood and watched. A real star in a great class of 92.....
Exactly what I thought. Goalkeepers often tend to prepare for a shot over the wall (which you can see in this video quite often) and get caught completely off guard by his freekick into the goalkeeper's corner
The thing is I don’t even think these are his best. Some of the goals he scored from open play were breathtaking. His free kicks were sublime but we all know that, what people don’t know is how good he was with the ball at his feet and taking a man on and scoring that way as well. In his prime he was truly world class.
I am a VERY old man 88 to be precise, and I have watched football since I was eleven years old (In many countries as I worked abroad at times) and even though I am an avid Leeds Utd supporter, I have to admit that I have never seen a better taker of free kicks than David Beckham, without doubt he is simply the best. Well Done young man.

Just watched EP 2 of the Beckham Show on Netflix. I truly feel for this man. He's been through so much but yet is so humble and didn't let his quality of game drop. Hats off man.
At 4:14, you will see Wayne Rooney on Everton side, wearing number 18 , trying to stop Beckham's goal. Only for a year later, Rooney becomes part of the united squad and become the highest goal scorer for Manchester United. Life is so unpredictable and beautiful.

He is probably the greatest free kick taker of all time, the world never saw such a free kick and corner specialist like Mr.Beckham.... He got some serious fashion sense too.

It blows my mind how many people (mostly the youths, probably because they were too young or not even born yet) who have forgotten/don't know truly how amazing this man was. He wasn't just a good looking guy. England has produced some truly great players, but during his prime he was arguably the greatest player playing in the world, at least top 3. He was a wizard when it came to taking free kicks, and he knew how to deliver the ball perfectly to a forward who had a little pace.
I don't know why some consider Messi or Ronaldo free kick specialists. Yes they have scored goals and nice ones. But they score 1 in how many tries? Before we had Beckham, Juninho, Asuncao, Honda and more which would have a constant stream of free kick goals. True specialists.

Got to love Beckham. I did some Arborist work outside his house in London on a very hot day and he sent ice cold bottles of san pelegrino water out to us, then walked over and had a chat. He’s a really nice guy.
The West Ham goal for me. That and another in the Champs League - running through on goal, he decided to instead smash it in the bottom corner from 30 yards.

No one has ever been able to consistently recreate how well Beckham could strike a ball. We've seen players who are great and striking a ball and taking dead ball situations to another level but not on the same level as Beckham. Roberto Carlos was a great strike of a ball but wasn't as consistently precise as Beckham. Flawless technique.
