These machines are programmed to hit payout percentages just like any other claw game. The wholesale prices of most of these prizes is probably less than 1 US dollar so it's easier to win. I suspect these machines have a much higher turnover and take in much more money than a typical American machine too.

Those games look difficult but fun and the prizes look delicious! The chocobar tower though... I'd lose my money to that if I ever tried. Those brands look expensive (and here in the country I live in, they probably are).
@@TheRiordane I live in the Philippines and chocolates that are branded and not local cost quite a bit so to me the chocolates in the video seem more expensive.
Coming from an arcade background, it's really important to scope out the machines first, do some basic simulations in your head about how it can turn out when playing, and decide then if you want to play. When I went to Japan, I came back with an absolute haul of figures, bags, pillow cases, and t-shirts from crane games for under 5000 yen. I completely avoided any games that looked similar to the ones at the end of your video, knowing that wedging is a thing that totally happens and is the intended design to claim your money. If you start playing games without trying to properly scope and simulate, you'll have a wallet-emptying time, no matter what country you're in, though. The same applies to US crane games of all kinds: they are designed to make money, not let you win. If you win every time, it means WHAT you're winning was paid for in spades by the cost of your single play (see: rubber duck cranes, where each rubber duck costs the business ~$0.02 per duck, if not less, and you're paying $0.50+ per play).
I just love your videos! Thank you for making them. I always look forward to the next one. Hearing your partner yell in delight in the background when you won a game was too cute!
Love these machines. Such fun. Would love to see you go back to that huge place you went to maybe 2 years ago, where you won a cake. It would be fun to see what's new there.
This looks like so much fun even if what you may win doesn’t match the investment. The snacks though, are not diabetes friendly. Great video! Thanks, DancingBacons.
Oh lord, as tasty as everything looked that you featured in this video. I never would have spent anywhere near what you did to win all of them from the machines, as I don't consider anything worth it beyond 1 to maybe 3 attempts. Although that tower of chocolate bars would be an exception. Either way tho, glad you had fun there!
No matter where you go, if there are claw machines, there will be scammy claw machines. I don't even bother trying if there's something expensive inside, because it's still there for a reason.

It would be banned for being too advanced for the natives to use, their minds and thought processing skills would be too complicated for them on how to obtain prizes without smashing the expensive machines. And then some Karen would sue you for edible items.
