  • Just showing a short demo of what a Nitecore D2 charger is like while charging.
    LEFT SLOT:
    Nitecore Li-Ion 2300mAh (Model # NL183)
    RIGHT SLOT:
Tecsun "QN1000m" 1.2v - I've no idea what the chemistry is. But I took the risk of attempting to recharge it, and it seemed to detect and start charging just fine using NiMH/NiCd charge mode.
    Random notes:
*The display constantly changes displayed info from Time, applied current, and Voltage. Pressing the mode button advances through these. But as soon as you stop pressing it, it still keeps cycling.
*Also charged a cheap-o "TrustFire" battery fine. Multimeter reports a voltage of 4.14v.
*The QN1000m batteries i have are pretty much completely drained. Or so i think. I took them from a device at low battery warning point, and haven't charged these in about a year.
    UPDATE01:
Just some small charges I did with the batteries I had at hand, for anyone's reference.
time to complete shown as [X:YY] X-Hours:Y-Minutes.
    ***Nitecore 18650 2300mAh
1 initial voltage [3.71v] time to complete [2:36] final measured voltage [4.15v]
2 initial voltage [3.43v] time to complete [5:13] final measured voltage [4.15v]
    ***Trustfire 14500 900mAh
initial voltage [4.11v] time to complete [0:29] final measured voltage [4.14v]

is it correct that this only charges batteries? It can not discharge and refresh batteries like the BT-C3400?

I have one but it only charges up to 4.15V. Tested with multimeter and compared to a Trustfire charger to make sure it wasn't the multimeter.

are the everready 1.2 rechargeables safe?? its showing 1.37V but the battery says 1.2

I guess you're talking about NiMH batteries? 1.2 is the nominal voltage. They usually charge up to 1.4-1.45v.

    Hello !
How could i check what the battery capacity really is ? Some 18650 batteries say they ave 5000 mAh. I dont really believe it and i thought this device can check for me, but it doesnt. DO you have any idea ?
    Thank you!

+Calin Paunescu There are no 5000 mAh 18650 batteries, at least not yet. Proper batteries come with proper technical specifications and sheets. Brands like Efest, MXJO, Trustfire to name a few: have printed endless lies on their products.

try putting it on the left side and see maybe it's just the battery

Will it turn off when its complete so it doesnt overcharge ?

The D2 display will stay on but yeah, the charging will stop when it reaches the correct voltages for Alkalines and Li-ion.

Mobius not sure what the last part means? I just dont want to overcharge my vape battery 18650s. This will do the job right?:)

    • @AFluffyMobius

It will charge both protected and un-protected 18650's safely. It shouldn't overcharge as long as the battery is in good condition.

What setting would you charge an 18650 li-ion battery on?

    • @AFluffyMobius
      @AFluffyMobius  9 ปีที่แล้ว

Everything is automatic. No user input besides changing the display to show Current (as in, "at this moment") Voltage, Charging Amperes, and Elapsed Time. The yellow/black 18650 battery to the left is Li-ion and is using CC as its charging method.

+MobiusBP Not entirely automatic, if you use LiFePO4 batteries you need to switch it to LiFePO4 mode by holding mode button for 2 seconds
